Josh Murray - Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #9

He told Andi during one of their dates, I think the FSD, that the next person he says "I love you" too he wants to marry & well he lied there! Oops!

I think being in that bubble you say and do a lot of things you might never plan on IRL.
I do think Josh will eventually find his one. He does have a big heart.

I'm sure of what I heard. He did say that he had to be careful about the next girl he dated because that would be the person he wanted to marry. I think he said it to try to imply that he was picky and didn't just date for the fun of it and that he was serious about finding the right person. I think he said it to dismiss whatever people might have thought about him regarding him being a player. It might not have been true, but I'm sure that's what I heard him say. On the show, he told Andi he wanted to marry the next person he said 'I love you' to and after the show, he did say that he had to be careful of who he dated next for the same reason. He said this before he went public with Anna and Hannah. I'm sure if you ask him now, he might deny it and he'll say that he's just casually dating because that's what his actions show. I didn't really read the article carefully, but I believe that was what he basically said in the People article.
I'm sure the whole 'bachelor bubble' does influence the things people say and do but as far as I can remember, all the other f1 and f2 have told the lead that they loved them. Josh went above and beyond to promise his ex all kinds of things. I haven't seen any other f1 go to those lengths to say 'I love you' even though they would have been in the bachelor bubble as well, but that's just my opinion.

After everything he's been through IMO he has the right to change his mind. A lot of things were said during that time that were BS IMO. It's whatever you are feeling in the moment. What I said 2 yrs ago, doesn't necessarily mean anything to me today. I would hate for anyone to rag on me constantly because of what I said 2 yrs ago.

Saying the next person he dated he was going to marry, if he said that, I personally don't recall that, IMO is not a realistic goal but one rather said with emotions because of the crap he went through. It's like me stuffing my face on pizza and wings, and later saying, I'm never going to eat again.

LOL yeah been there and done that and the stained clothes to prove it.

Now that I mentioned it, I want some pizza and wings. Geezzzzz!

Another thing I thought of is after what he went through, obviously he became popular and had a lot of fans. I'm sure that did a lot for his self confidence in ladies wanting his attention. Prior to going on the show, I believe his story was he hadn't dated in 5 yrs, never met the one, blah blah. Well now, he can date all he wants, and it doesn't have to be a forever relationship.

I think Josh's outlook has changed. He's going to have fun until the right one comes along. It takes two in a relationship. If they are both willing to date, then so be it. His choice may not be a popular one but maybe this is the path he needs to take to get to where he wants to be. He'll realize, IMO the young ones may not be at the same point in their lives as he is.

It's not that he has to be held to something he said two years ago (even though he said something similar 6 months ago as well). It's just that I thought that after everything that happened with Andi, he would have been more careful when it came to saying stuff like that again because you never know what will happen in the future and I thought he would have learnt that from his experience on the show.
Anyway, I think the purpose of those statements was to show that he wanted to find a wife and to start a family and while he doesn't have to be held to those statements exactly, he still claims to want a wife and kids and if he does still want to settle down with someone, IMO, his actions don't really line up with what he said he wants. But maybe that was what he wanted in the past and maybe he doesn't want to settle down and get married anymore. He can change his mind and and he can hook up with whichever girl comes his way next if he wants. It's his life.

You might even tell two different women that you love them!!   All kinds of things are said in the Bachelor bubble that I bet were wished not said!

True.. here's hoping he finds the right girl in the future because to me I don't think the youngersters will be on the same path for another few years.

I'm only speaking because of experience with my son. He dated a lovely girl for many years. When they broke up (and broke my heart) he started dating girls that I didn't care for. Like he said "it's not like I'm going to marry them". He just felt like he missed out all those years.

Josh missed out IMO if he in fact didn't date for 5 yrs, went on the show, and all the nightmarish things that come with that, then the break up, I think he's just enjoying time with females until the right one comes along. Right now he's taking care of the most important female and that's a big plus in my books.

Aw, it's so nice to see some kind things being said about Josh. Josh is not a serial dater, he's not a player, juggling several girls at one time either, dates one at a time, and not that often. It's my understanding (jmo) that he and Hannah are not really a thing or even dating. Has he liked any of her recent IG's, serious question, I'd like know. Doe Josh like to flirt, of course he does, like most men.

GA, yes, you are correct, I mentioned it the fan thread for Josh, the ONLY female he's in love with and serious about right now is his beloved Sabel and he's doing everything in his power to help her get rid of the bone cancer and have a happy and healthy life. She did so well on her 2nd chemo round, Josh tweeted, she's a fighter. Actually so is Josh, fighting for  Sabel's life.

The thing with Josh is he didn't graduate UGA til 2010, because he got behind by going off to play baseball at 17, and then came back, went to UGA. He was 26 yrs old when he graduated when most are usually 22 yrs old. Explains why most of his closest friends are 26 & 27. So he is behind in the dating game. To some, it may seem like immaturity and maybe to a degree it is, but he is truly a good guy with a heart of gold, who wants to marry and have kids, he will eventually find THE ONE, just as most of us have found at some point in our lives. Sorry some of you don't know him in real life, he will give you the shirt off his back.
