That's also one of the many reasons why some of us think, in our opinions, he is not there for Andi, he wanted to win.

I don't think Andi was his type, I think he likes them young, blonde and submissive imo

Yep. Seems pretty clear that he likes to be looked up to. Andi was probably his worst nightmare once they got out of the bubble, since she was so dominant and didn't hesitate to throw little digs at him. JMO.

IMO Josh wouldn't remove Winner of Bachelorette because of anything stated here. We just aren't that important to the rest of the world. The fact is, he was the winner! I'm glad he went on to see if Andi might be the one, even if he prefers blonds. Nothing wrong with that IMO. I appreciate him stepping out and trying something new. Of course this is all speculation since none of know what color hair previous girlfriends have.

I find it hard to think of someone as a ‘winner’ on this type of show especially when the relationship doesn’t work out and there is heartbreak involved. It’s not a game show where the winner gets a car or a certain sum of money. I know people sign up for the Bachelor/Bachelorette for a variety of reasons but even if they are not truly looking for love, people put their hearts on the line and do get hurt. Even for the few successful relationships where a marriage does result, I don’t know if I would consider those people winners. JMO

With this show I usually tend to feel that the winners are the ones that got away/were eliminated (F2-25+).  There are a few exceptions and they ended up getting married (Ash and JP, SeanCat, Des and Chris), but normally I hope any I like actually don't end up as F1.  Josh Murray - Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #9 - Page 45 3806527698

And then the F1 is a winner when they come to their senses, end it and walk away!  Hugesmile

clapping!
Exactly. I don't think the Bachelor or Bachelorette ever has a 'winner'. The bachelor and bachelorette are human beings, not items or property which can be won as a prize. I would say that I think Bachelor Pad had a winner because the final 1 or 2 got money at the end of the show.
Josh should have never considered himself a 'winner' whether he was still with his ex or not. She's not an item that can be won. But anyway, I think it's even worse for him to call himself the winner after they broke up. Can he be humble enough to not call himself a 'winner' when they broke up or does he not have enough respect for women to consider them human beings and not items which can be won. You cannot 'win' a person.
JP Rosenbaum has his twitter bio as 'The Bachelorette Season 7's lucky one & NOT the 'winner'. That's so much better and so much more respectful in my opinion. After Andi and Josh broke up, he could have just stated the season without including the word 'winner'..... unless it was a competition for him and he saw her as something to win. I don't know but maybe it was driven by spite and maybe he wanted everyone to think that she was something he won and didn't care about as opposed to someone he loved (or at least claimed to have loved).

Ya it's not a game show where you win a grand prize at the end. Would anyone say Vienna was the winner because Jake picked her? Uh no, I would hope not. There's either a connection there with the lead or there isn't. You're not the winner just because you and the lead happened to click and the rest aren't the losers just because it didn't happen for them. You can't force someone to fall in love with you. Besides some would rather be the the next lead than end up with the lead. Some would rather go on BiP than end up with the lead. Some just have a business they want to promote or they want to further their acting or modeling career. For some it was just a fun experience and they wanted the vacation. Some would rather just be off the show period and go back to their normal lives. Everyone has different motivations for why they go on the show and most of the time it doesn't include being the F1. So to say you're the winner because the lead picked you is laughable. And to put that you're the winner in your bio when the engagement ended months ago? Like dude you couldn't even hack it as long as Courtney and Nikki did with the leads who picked them if you want to consider this a competition. laugh out loud laugh out loud

IMO, When something takes place and people are eliminated, the last man/woman standing is generally referred to as the winner.  He "won" her heart over the others.  It's very common and acceptable to say and the Bachelor/bachelorette who has been chosen has been referred to as the winner since season 1.

There's not any winners or losers here. Everyone who goes on this show can get something out of it if they want it. For other people to call the F1 the winner is one thing but to call yourself the winner just makes it look like you saw it as a competition. I can't think of any other F1 who put in their bio that they were the winner especially after the relationship has already ended. Why even put that in your bio?

Thank goodness for guys like JP who just considers himself lucky to end up with Ashley and didn't just want to beat the other guys. If we had more guys like him on the show perhaps there would be more success stories.

In game shows, when others are eliminated and the last one is referred to as the winner, its because they win money or some item which is considered a prize. I still don't think it's ok to call Josh the 'winner' unless he considered it a competition that was capable of being 'won'. Just because something might have happened in the past doesn't make it right or acceptable. I have heard the terms 'final one' or 'final pick' being used many times and I think that's far better when you're describing a person as opposed to an object.

And then another way to think of it is Survivor: MEandI. He was able to outlast the others. I can't say outwit or outplay, as it smacks  of psychotic behavior to want to end up with the ME. Seriously, how long can anyone deal with the invasion of hanging panties?
