I actually agree with most of you that is seems odd for Josh to be dating someone this young. I get the jokes and the snark. But *edited- Who's to say she isn't interested in getting married young and starting a family very young? *edited It isn't that far fetched for a woman to marry in her early 20's and start having babies shortly after that, especially in the Morman faith. Just saying.  *edited

Btw, just a little fun fact: Julianne Hough (also from SLC) started dating Ryan Seacrest when she was just 21. He was 35. They dated for close to 3 yrs.

Well I read somewhere that they both dated each other to further their careers so I wouldn't say that's a good comparison to make IMO.

Well Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest did break up so I wouldn't use them as an example of a relationship working when there's a big age difference.
We don't know her but it's just normal for a 20 year old to not be in the same place in life as a 31 year old. I think it's not fair to assume that she does want to get married and have babies young because that defies the norm. In the absence of someone who actually knows her, I'd prefer to assume that she is similar to most 20 year olds. She's a little girl who's looking for another daddy because this relationship is beyond creepy.

She's a model who will be leaving soon for an 18 month mission to Norway for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints (Mormon) Maybe she wants to see him again before she leaves

I know she models but she goes to college as well. I think it's Utah Valley University.

You are assuming that a 20yr. old can't have an opinion, is a doormat and won't talk back?  You obviously are not a parent of one!!  I'd really like you to meet my daughter.  She could and would (and actually has) stood up to alpha males much older than her.  She can hold her own and I'm guessing Hannah can to.  Who says you can't be young, beautiful, sweet, loving and still feisty as hell?

I am a parent of a 20 year old daughter and she definitely has an opinion about things and speaks her mind and can hold her own, but as far as I know, from all the discussions I've had with her, she would never consider dating a man 11 years her senior at this stage in her life. Is a 31 year old man going to hang out with a bunch of 20 yearolds? Girls that age usually have groups of friends that they hang out with and they can act very silly and immature in big groups. That would get old very fast for a grown man. I would also not condone that kind of relationship simply because I would question the intentions of any man of that age wanting to get involved in a relationship with a young girl who is underage. JMO from my experience as a mom with a daughter Hannah's age.

Her IG post said "she wants to go back to NYC" hence Josh's reply. I'd go look for it again & post but I'm not in the mood

I was at the event.  The pictures don't do the ridiculousness of her dress justice.  It was seriously basically a prom/pageant dress and it was floor-length.  She was the only one who looked like that (most of the other women there were in cocktail-style dresses and much more casual).  She looked all of 18 in person.  She was there with friends and didn't come with Josh but was hanging all over him once she got there (I was there early so I could get somewhere to sit).  He was also really really unenthusiastic about the auction part, so I wasn't surprised at all that he went for a small amount.  Big turn-off.

I'm guessing Laurel's advice didn't stick :/.

She'll be serving her mission soon in Norway for 18 months. She won't be able to date. They can keep in contact through email.  No phone calls or personal visits are allowed.
