I actually agree with nothatgirl. I always saw him as arrogant and stubborn as well and also found him to be very judgmental and hypocritical after the show. Even if others didn't see him that way, this is a very edited show and TPTB show us what they want us to see. It doesn't mean Josh was acting or being fake.

As for Josh saying he was picky, maybe he honestly believes he is. To me a guy who goes on a reality dating show to date a woman who 24 other guys are dating isn't very picky, but perhaps he disagrees with me.

Arrogant, stubborn, hypocritical and judgmental are the perfect words to describe Josh. I really didn't see it on the show, but I see it now so Josh fooled me or the producers fooled me.

I don't think Josh is trying to fool anyone. I think he just keeps it real, unlike so many others I can name that can portray themselves as someone they are not.  I guarantee you many favorite Bachelor "stars" have us fooled as to the kind of person they really are.  Josh may have those who are not fans, but atleast he's being himself.  As the saying goes, "I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not".  

The editing on the Bachelorette may have swayed some people to have a certain opinion of Josh, but he has no control over that.  I think a better indicator of the kind of person he is is to go by the opinion of those that have actually spent time with him. From what I have seen, Josh was very well liked and respected by his fellow castmates on Bachelorette. I have only seen postitive things said about him from people who have met him or spent time with him since the show. Common things I hear are he is very kind, attentive, and genuine.

I am a fan of Josh, even though I can see his flaws. I see he can be stubborn and judgemental. But many of us are stubborn, and I think most people are judgemental. We'd be lying to ourselves if we claim we are not.  I mean just look at us on this forum. Look at all the comments people make on Twitter and IG. The world is a very judgemental place. Why is Josh "judged" for being judgemental and we don't look at ourselves. Now that's hypocritical.

And having said that...

Why does everyone think he didn't do BIP because he was too good for it or because he was waiting for the bachelor. Maybe he didn't because it doesn't pay any
Money? He was likely making good money on advocare and doing appearances why give that up for nothing. The E show actually pays money

BIP definitely pays money.

Yeah, BiP pays too. I just think the break up was too fresh still and it would've looked worse. I can see him on next year though.

According to RS 7-15k for BIP that's peanuts

IDK that might be good money for a week to 3 weeks vacay.

Poor Josh such a victim. :strings1   Don't go on a reality TV show if you don't want to hear people's comments positive or negative.  Every person has the right to keep their SM private.  What gets posted on this forum is discussion among the posters.  No cast member ever has to read it unless they choose to seek it out.

I think the only reason he didn't do BIP is because he foolishly thought that people wanted him to be the next bachelor and he thought he had a chance. It's a little delusional but he seemed to think that people loved him and would choose him over the guys from Kaitlyn's season.

This may be the opinion of someone that dislikes Josh and therefore would not want him to be the lead or think he had a chance at it. But it does not speak for all people. Apparently there are many people that do love Josh and did want him as the lead based on the Twitter and IG support he was getting. Do those voices not count?  I would have liked him as the lead. Does my opinion not count?  RS seemed to think he had a very good chance of getting it and he's been right more than he's been wrong.  Sophienette had a poll on Twitter where Josh was in the lead the majority, if not the entire time.  I don't think it would have been at all foolish or delusional for him to think he had a chance, if that's why he chose not to do BIP. But I think there were plenty of other reasons for him not to.

I'm still excited for Ben and think he'll be a great Bachelor. As much as I would have loved Josh as the lead, there were former JODI fans that would not support him because they felt it would have been disrespectful of Andi. Her happiness is their priority in my opinion, not his. I just think it's sad that so many turned on him and couldn't support them both individually in moving on with their lives. But that's what happens so often in breakups. People take sides and the other one becomes public enemy #1.
