Jubilee Sharpe - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Ben's whiny and rude blog post toward Jubilee says a lot about Ben.  I thought Jubilee handled herself admirably.  Her feelings and actions were authentic and real.  Ben was mad about the lack of hand holding and questioning of him and the process....just watch his expression in that scene.  He doesn't want anyone there who is not 100% about Ben10.  I think his blog post highlights insecurity and a lack of grace in Ben not Jubilee.  Bring on the WTA...I'll take the soldier over the software salesman.

I saw that and it made me cringe. Part of me wondered if she was just fishing for compliments. I see no confidence in her.

The way she ended up groveling to Ben makes me less than hopeful she will call him out at the WTA. I really wished she would have stood firm on how she was feeling because it was valid.

Wow I guess everyone really thought Ben was perfect. Nobody is, and I don't think we saw the whole story of Ben and Jubilee. There is so much left on the cutting room floor. I love Jubes and would love to see her as the Bette, but only if she can get over her insecurities. I know I have a problem dealing with people like that at times. It gets trying to always try and reassure someone. And remember the folks at The Bach get to read and fix things as they want, just like in the show. I still like Ben, I think he is just reacting like a 26 year old guy would. Just one of the reasons I would love to see older Bach and Ette folks.

I just think Jubilee is very attractive and has a different look than most bettes we see. She kind of reminds me of Sharleen in the way she carries herself...graceful and elegant. I hope she develops more self confidence and realises her full potential. It seems she has lots of family support and I hope she continues to gives us a little glimpse of her life as she moves on from this show. I bet she will succeed in whatever she decides to put her mind to.

There are not that many people from this franchise that truly interest me and draw me in, but she is one of them. I wish her nothing but the best.

I really liked her, and I think Ben did too, but her insecurities got the best of her. And I really like Ben, he is my favorite bachelor thus far, I am glad he didn't string her along.
If you look back, the contestants who are very insecure in the show never last, they end up leaving on their own soon or later, so I like that Ben saw that and let her go now instead of later. She is 23, she will learn from this experience and meet someone special

I don't know, I think that there have been a lot of people who were insecure and jealous and made it far. Shawn and Britt (who both also pulled tantrums on group dates) immediately come to mind. It's just that type of behavior is tolerated when the lead likes you and will go above and beyond to give you validation.

I think he really cared for her, but he spent most of their dates convincing her she was good enough, that's not a way to start a relationship. IMO, keeping her longer would have being very selfish of Ben, he did the right thing by her.
Jubelee is gorgeous and funny, and for her to think that she is not good enough for him or any guy, that's a inside problem only she can fix, she has to love herself before she can give love to another and she is only 23.

It wasn't JUST her insecurities though. Her feelings were valid IMO. As a viewer I can see that she was right, she was there for him and could see that he didn't like her as much as he did some of the other women, and instead of 'just hanging around' as most tend to do on this show, she confronted him about it. I like ben too but he definitely did not handle this situation well in the moment, and from his people blog, months later he's still not handling it well IMO

Shawn and Britt were both top picks at some point, Shawn from the first night to the end. Chris eventually got sick of Britt's tantrums too and sent her packing with even less sympathy than Ben offered Jubilee.

I just don't see Ben as being in the wrong here. I think Jubilee is a very interesting person, but I don't care for her victim mentality one bit. From the beginning she was underestimating Ben by saying he's only into the happy bubbly girls and surely won't be into her, because she's so complex and whatnot. Then they had a great date and seemed to really connect, but apart from the massage, every time after that she's been doubting Ben or putting herself down while talking to him. Last week he seemed really frustrated that she refused to get why he likes her, but eventually she smiled and hugged him and looked happy. But instead of continuing from there this week, she was back to being insecure and giving attitude. How could he not be furstrated when he's back to square one with her every time? I saw his blog as kind of a last ditch effort to get through to her that he did really like her, but her own actions got in the way of it progressing. Seems like she still doesn't see that though, if her tweets are any indication. The tweet to Becca about "girls like her" always finishing first before girls like Jubilee really rubbed me the wrong way. Becca was rejected two episodes later! Does that mean that girls like Lauren B and JoJo and Caila and Amanda always finish before girls like Becca? What about the many women who got cut before Jubilee? Is she above them somehow, because one guy picked her over them? We're talking about the feelings of one person who's trying to find someone to fall in love with. Nothing more, nothing less. His opinion says nothing about any of these women and I hate that Jubilee is using it as some reason to feel sorry for herself. It would serve her better to consider her own actions and their effect on things rather than seeing them as some constant part of her that she can't change.

I also don't think sending Jubilee home means Ben can't handle negativity and wants some always smiley Stepford wife. I can't think of one person who, when presented with a group of potential mates, would pick the most negative and insecure person in the bunch. That doesn't mean there's something wrong with them or their expectations.

Well said Mindless. Jubelee needs to take a page from Lace's book, you can't love others until you love yourself. To ask Ben to keep her around is not fair, it would have drained him, he is not there as a cheerleader or a fixer, he needs a wife who is confident in what she brings to the relationship, not one who thinks she is too complex and nobody likes her. too much work, JMO.
