That kiss felt kind of awkward to me - definitely not the comfort level I saw in the way he held Lauren's hand and kissed her. It's just a small moment, though, so it's hard to tell!

I'm honestly not surprised that Amanda got a HTD; I remember that Deanna said that she had originally planned on eliminating Jason after his HTD when she met Ty, who was only 3 then. I don't think it's the lead being heartless, I think it's usually the producers really pushing that on them. I have to imagine that he'll meet her daughters, since every other single parent that has made it to HTDs has introduced their children to the lead.

I guess that means that Caila and Emily are most likely out? I was hopeful about Caila, but if she's out, then it's starting to seem like Lauren B has it in the bag.

No matter how good of a guy Ben is, I don't buy that he wants to take on being a step-father to two young kids.

It's up to him to see how bad it will be and that is the reason he is going there.
He will send her home when he and tptb r ready.

Maybe he hasn't admitted it to himself yet. I can see him liking her a lot and wanting to see just how much. Likely won't end well...but I don't think it's SO terrible

IMO Ben does genuinely like Amanda (they don't have the chemistry he has with Lauren, but that doesn't mean there are no feelings there) as I doubt she would get the group date rose for HTD's if she were a producer pick. Plus, I personally doubt that she will be sent home at F4 (IMO she'll be F3) as the winner of the group date rose right before hometowns has almost always been F2 or F3 (I haven't looked any further back than Emily's season however):

Chris' season = Kaitlyn (F3)
Andi's season = Nick (F2)
Juan Pablo's season = Andi (F3)
Desiree's season = Drew (F2)
Sean's season = Lindsay (F2)
Emily's season = Sean (F3)

He looks really awkward and stiff to me, though perhaps it's just the crowd. Then again there was a crowd outside that bar as well and he wasn't fazed then. I don't think he looks enthused at all. Would explain why he was so pensive in the car too, if this is just something he has to do. But who knows.
