Not exactly a romantic intimate date. Unless you're just wanting to "be seen" it doesn't look like much fun or an opportunity to get to know each other better.

When I saw him with Lauren it was exciting because they looked like a real couple. I had no opinion of Lauren prior to that but Ben looked so happy. 

I'm not seeing that with Amanda. But as other members have said, it could just be the crowd.

Assuming it was Becca, Emily, Caila, and Amanda on group date.

Amanda and Ben BOTH look awkward IMO. 

Anyway, I'm sure he likes her enough, just like I'm sure he likes whoever he's gonna take to f4, f3, f2 enough. But his f1 is obviously going to be the one he likes the most. And that will be obvious while watching the show. So just because he doesn't have the chemistry that he has with someone else, doesn't mean he doesn't like so and so. It's just a matter of who does he like more. Only one can "win" anyway.

^^^^ IMO when I watched dates with Sean and Catherine at this point I could tell the difference with him and Catherine v. him with the other girls. But he admits that he didn't "know" at this point- his head didn't seem to know what his behavior indicated. It could be the same for Ben- his behavior ( that we're privileged to witness) may give more indication about f1.... so if he's not as affectionate with Amanda as he is with Lauren, that may be a good indicator- but he may not have processed this quite enough to know himself yet. This whole process moves so quickly, it must be really hard to have confidence in anything.

IMO Ben isn't doing anything to her kids. SHE left her kids to come on the show, it was her choice. No reason to blame poor Ben! It isn't his job to look out for her kids, it's her job!

I guess my personal bias is showing but I don't think a show like this is the place for single parents, Mom or Dad. The kids suffer and needlessly miss a parent.

Ben sure has some beauties in his top girls. If their personalities match their looks should be a great season and a great Bachelorette to come out of it.

I hope RS is giving us some juicy lengthy answers tommorow. Becca, Amanda, and possibly Lauren and JoJo..? Are these girls who he "predicted" would make hometowns? And now he has an idea of how eveything else is gonna shake up..? He said to look out for JoJo for Ette, but she got the second one on one and it was baseball themed. And a whole bunch of other patterns and "coincidences". I wonder if this is the way he heard/guessed it to be... Not like he'd ever admit to it though. Haha.
