I don't think that Des and Emily were super outgoing or sassy or guys' girls either. I do think she's a bit too normal and level-headed to be the lead, but they've had a lot of bland leads in the past. 

I actually think they all give sucky ITMs except for Olivia, Lauren h, and jubilee. There aren't any witty ones this season.

Well, Emily had a catch line :single mom with unfortunate death dad/fiancé. edited to add: IMO Des was probably a mistake to TPTB, realistically, even though she married her pick. But usually the bachelors are bland and the ETTES are more outgoing.

I actually do think a few of the girls give pretty good ITMS this season. Just in vocal tone, hand movements, facial expressions, etc. Lauren's are just too one note though.

That's a good point. I couldn't make it a full episode on Des's season. 

I do still think the girls give really boring ITMs. They are more animated than Lauren, but there are very few witty or snarky or LOL commentary. Maybe that's why I enjoy the bachelorette more - the guys are usually better at it than girls (the ones they cast, not in general).

Lauren has the looks, like Emily before her, to make 25 guys actually fight over her. She has a confidence about her as well. I'm sure she has more personality than we've seen in the roughly 20 minutes of footage we have of her so far, too. Emily showed 0 personality in Brad's season, but quite a bit in her own. I honestly think she would have made a great bachelorette- the only truly good contender this season. But she's Ben's. I'm ok with that- love their love story so far. But it leaves us with slim pickings for the next lead.

It's about people wanting to watch the show though. And they always have to try more for the ETTE because it gets wayyy less viewers than the bachelor. They want a lead with a tag line or engaging personality. I still think JoJo or Caila are IT. *Edited to add IMO*

I think Lauren B would have been a good lead, better than her BFF Amanda. I can't stand Amanda's voice and haven't seen much personality.

They seem to have similar demeanors, which means they would both be "bad" choices. *IMO*

well lucky we don't have to worry about lauren b being the bachelorette!

I still think a lot of it is personal choice. I personally liked Emily's demeanor and subtle humor. I couldn't stand the outgoing, sassy leads like Deanna and Andi. The guys' girls, like Jillian, was great in small doses but a full season of her was just a drunken mess for me.

I loved Jillian! I felt like we got to know most of her guys really well and a lot of the dates her season seemed like things she actually liked to do. That was a fun and entertaining season for me. DeAnna and Andi? Meh. Too bossy and aggressive for me. I can't say I really enjoyed Emily but I do relate the most to her in personality. I loved Desiree as a person but her season was too boring for me though the ending made up for it. I thought Ali was a great lead and had an entertaining season. I didn't enjoy Kaitlyn but I did really like her guys. Ashley was okay to me and I enjoyed the later half of her season. I didn't watch Trista, Jen or Meredith.

FWIW Des's season remains 3rd in the highest number of posts for this forum, 68,429, behind Sean Lowe 1st 101,517 and Emily Maynard 2nd 73011. Ben's season is already at 21,000.

I think either showing a love story, or a ton of drama, it creates a buzz.

I like that the spoiled F4 so far doesn't consist of any lunatics that Ben keeps around just for the drama. I could do without the fake roles that the drama queens have been given.

Ali's season was one of my faves. Best f2 ever + amazing drama. 

I probably have listed jillian's seasons as one of my faves before solely because of Reid and how much I loved him and his chemistry with Jillian. Other than him, though, no one stood out to me and Jillian just seemed trashy and drunk the whole time. I probably loved Emily's season mostly because of Arie too, although I did like her sense of humor and personality. I really enjoyed Kaitlyn's season, although the sex was too much for me and I wish they had traveled more/gone to HTs. 

I just think that I'm in the minority always. Sean, Ashley, and Des's seasons bored me (what I saw of them) **edited**
