It's really weird the edit we are getting with her. Saw such a tiny portion of their date. No daytime part of the date. Is there time together long drawn out silence or what?

They said a huge storm cancelled the original date and Ben/JoJo ended up switching to gambling in a casino. 
I'm wondering if they were unable to film in the actual casino with gambling tables etc for legal reasons?

I think JoJo's 1 on 1 fell victim to not enough air time left after a TON of Olivia drama (seriously, it's like she is the lead), drawn out wedding date, and the "extra" twin date. You would think they'd want to show us more of spoiled F2 to build storyline leading up to FD, LCD, Ben's "struggle" with decision before FRC.

Hopefully, with the end in sight for Olivia drama, Jubilee leaving next epi so no more drama with her, they will choose to show us something to understand how JoJo made it to F2.

I think it is just her storyboard... they wanted to show she had troubles in her past relationships and was willing to try put down the walls etc and that's there's physical chemistry between Ben and her and that's pretty much it (and I expect will be her F2 edit all the way).

They didn't even show the part with Ben telling her the best way to get over past relationship hurts is to fall in love again. I just think regardless of what the date entailed that her edit for this episode would have been the same since that's probably going to be her storyline (past relationships/walls and physical chemistry) and she gets another 1on1 date anyway.

So I think they chose to highlight Becca's 1on1 date more than hers since Becca doesn't get another 1on1 and then of course Olivia for the drama and the twins as well (since the 2on1 ep 6 is one twin and Olivia).

I see what you're saying about the storyline for these two, but a viewer can learn so much from casual conversation and body language on a date so IMO tptb robbed the viewer at the expense of the drama or to hide it.

There was a storm in Dallas the day of JoJo's hometown date too, and her plans had to be scrapped at the last minute as well.  So, I am also expecting that we will see a very under-whelming date there, more than likely with no explanation from producers.  But, maybe Ben will explain it in his blog, like he did with their 1-on-1 date getting cancelled due to the weather.

It is a shame that they cut out so much of the JoJo date as well as the actual performances of the girls during the talent show which I was looking forward to.  As usual, they went with the most dramatic and cringe worthy scenes, IMO.  They spent way too much time on Olivia when we only needed a snippet to know she was already OTT.  Perhaps they are trying to hide the love stories and the possibility that Ben falls in love with two women as we hear in one of the promos.  JMO.

Yes perhaps, or maybe they didn't have a connection on any other level but physical. Either way, tptb robbed viewers of discerning for ourselves and now we have to rely on Ben's blog and his memory AFTER he's already picked his new gf. Which to me makes his blog a LITTLE more biased toward his gf and away from the other contestants.

Adding about Texas HTD: bad weather or not, they HAD a date of some sort so that better be shown as much as is usually. 

Adding about no cameras in casinos: I can sympathize with that but they especially shouldn't have cut the helicopter and evening portion short then. 

We know from previews Ben and JoJo have that steamy make out session near waterfalls (FD or LCD?). Ben said in effect last epi (CMIIW) that while physical chemistry is important, he needs to know there is more than that, and after the convo with JoJo, he seems assured for now that there's more than physical chemistry\lust. I'm expecting to see that storyline continue- Ben questioning whether there is more to his attraction to JoJo than the physical chemistry. And some struggle with JoJo being able to open up and trust after last relationship. Hopefully when the Olivia show is over, we'll see more of the non physical interaction that had Ben keep JoJo to F2.

Yes you're right, I'm done b!tching and moaning about the lack of date shown on this episode.

I read somewhere, (I think in Ben's blog) that the date that Ben and JoJo were supposed to have in the Helicopter, had to be cancelled because of weather. So they spent the first part of their date in the Casino. It is possible that they did not have permission to film in the Casino. Later in the day the weather cleared up and they did take a short ride over the city in the helicopter. So there my not have been as much filmed date to use as was originally planned. I am just surmising here... I do not know for certain why they did not show more. It seems to me that Ben thinks she is pretty and hot and fun, but not sure that he really connects with her in what he is looking for as a life time mate. I really like JoJo, but it just does not seem like Ben would be a great match for her. I could see her being a fun friend, but I think she would get a bit bored with Ben. Totally my opinion. I really like Ben too, but just do not see them meshing as great as they both are.

I completely agree with you that Ben and JoJo wouldn't be a good match. I just like to/need to see the WHOLE picture, or in the case of this show, as much of the picture as possible so that I can try and discern what likely really happened. Imo they really took the editing to extremes this season along with other obvious liberties, to the point that I'm just having a hard time getting any enjoyment from it. Maybe it's me and I've outgrown it.....again. :babies:
