Jojo just seems kinda bitchy and blah to me. I don't know what she was trying to accomplish in her convo with Olivia.

Did they do anything during the day portion of their their date other than take that helicopter ride and sip champagne on the tarmac? It really seemed to be a pretty lousy first date for his F2. Lauren got the plane ride, picnic and a Jacuzzi, dinner and then a private concert. JoJo seemed to get a much shorted helicopter ride, dinner and then a few minutes of fireworks. Kind of blah.

I think Ben is really physically attracted to her. But I do see the slightly catty side too - which isn't the worst thing in the world, just something I've picked up on. I don't think they'll make her the Bachelorette if she's F2, but if she does end up with the role, I think she'd be a little similar to Andi, both in how she handles the role and in the type of guy she picks.
And who knows, maybe Nick would make another appearance!

It was very blah to me. Other than Lauren's date, all the dates have been kind of blah and gimmicky.Sprite wrote:AllAboutLove wrote:Other than some physical stuff (which, Ben seems to do easily with a lot of the girls) I just didn't see that big of a connection between Ben and JoJo. At this point I just think Ben was making out with whomever but his only emotional connection is with Lauren B.
Lauren is the only one so far he actually talks in terms of "We" "us".
With JoJo and others it's like he is their therapist and helping them along with relationship and self-help pep talks.

To be fair we have no idea what they did or didn't do on their date; it's lying on the editing room floor. As well, the conversation on the sofa was sliced up as well. At one point she is talking about he (last bf) and then she is saying they in the next breath without a common thread in between. They did a horrible horrible editing job and I am getting tired of the crap they are force feeding me!Sprite wrote:AllAboutLove wrote:Other than some physical stuff (which, Ben seems to do easily with a lot of the girls) I just didn't see that big of a connection between Ben and JoJo. I agree that we don't know what is on the editing room floor, but Lauren's date started in the morning and went all day and it seemed as if JoJo's started later in the afternoon. I don't know if it was just really cloudy, but it seemed as if it was almost closer to dusk when their date began. Where are all our sleuths looking at shadows to determine the time of day?

I'm still baffled why and how they thought making out while the table was flying around and it was sort of dangerous. Not the time most people would think it'd be in any way romantic. Wonder why their date was cut so short. When they left it was all sunny, and the next we saw them briefly when it was dark. Did they spend the whole day together?

I was definitely expecting to see more of their date given Jojo's F2 status.
I have to say that their kisses look pretty on TV. I don't know if maybe their lips are compatible or what but they just look easy/steamy & not awkward. Jojo tells Olivia that her relationship with Ben has been passionate from the start yet they haven't had much chance to talk.. supports the chemistry/ultimately lacking compatibility sl.

http://www.alltheprettypandas.com/bachelor20Back at the mansion, house mom Jojo is the voice of reason:
PREACH.
Back at the mansion, the girls are in the requisite U-formation to receive the loud knock at the door, something I for one never got used to. Jojo once again says it like it is:

Re: Joelle Fletcher - (JoJo) - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
According to RS, they took the helicopter ride, went "gambling" (which would have been funny to watch) and then had dinner and the fireworks show. I think they had to cut it short because they needed to fit a group date into the episode, which are always the longest, especially with Olivia's drama, along with another 1-on-1 and also a 2-on-1 plus the cocktail party and the rose ceremony. That's a lot to fit into one episode.
I don't really see a bitchy side to JoJo. I actually really loved her moment with Olivia. She asked her what happened and then was shocked that Olivia told him she was falling in love with him. That was a real moment with JoJo because she was shocked that someone could be falling in love a couple of weeks into it. I liked her explanation of it in her ITM too.
Her 1-on-1 was so diced and spliced that it's too bad. Trista mentioned it, but I loved how he was intently listening to her talk about her past relationship, and he was rubbing her arm, playing with her bracelet, etc. they're comfortable together. The way he put his face against hers and was kissing her cheek up on the rooftop for the fireworks was sweet too.

Good post!! The producers made that segment with Olivia on the group date much longer last night, because they saw that they had "gold" with her awkward performance and all the soundbites that she gave them - most likely pulled from many different conversations throughout her time on the show. Apparently JoJo's date with Ben was too normal and did not provide them with enough good footage either. Plus the producers did have to squeeze in that last date with the twins. And, apparently it was Ben who asked to do that, and it had not be pre-planned in advance.
I don't get a bitchy vibe from JoJo either. I think that JoJo (on many occasions when they show her as being catty) is rooting for ALL the other women to take their opportunity to get some time with Ben during those cocktail parties, especially when some of the women (I am looking at you Olivia) don't seem to be playing fair. For the most part I see JoJo as encouraging the others to step up and take their time - rather than hanging back. But that is just my opinion.
I think that Chris Harrison is way more bitchy and catty than any of the women on Ben's season, and I felt like he took it too far on the after show last night, when it came to Olivia. There is no doubt in my mind that the producers prod those women in order to create a catty atmosphere on the Bachelor, and Chris Harrison is the ring leader.

Re: Joelle Fletcher - (JoJo) - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
In case anyone wants just the JoJo section, this is what Ben said about JoJo in his blog. It looks like a pretty romantic date was planned for the day portion, but a thunderstorm ruined it. We also learn that when we first see them getting blown away by the helicopter, they were together on their date before that:
I was so excited for my date with JoJo. We had such an intense passion even in our limited time together, and I really wanted a date with her to see if it was more than just lust (she is an incredibly beautiful woman) and could have a possibility at love. So going into it not only was I excited because of those passionate moments, but I was a little nervous too, because I have had moments in my life where I was intensely attracted to a woman only to find out that was all that we had together. And as a man looking for a wife and a lifelong partner, I know passion and physical attraction is not the foundation for a marriage. So this was a big day.
What you guys didn't see though was that we actually had to call an audible on what the date was really supposed to be. I had set up this incredible helicopter tour of the Valley of Fire outside the city (that's why the date card said "You set my heart on fire"), but a huge rain and lightning storm rolled in that morning and the pilots said it was too dangerous to fly. So as cool as that sounded, nothing was worth risking our safety. Instead, we did what you do in Vegas … we gambled! JoJo and I went down and hit the tables for a little bit and actually hit the jackpot on a hand of blackjack! I'm not going say how much we won, but it was WAY more than I had ever won in my life. So exhilarating.
But while we were playing, the weather cleared up and I was SO excited to surprise her with the helicopter still even if we didn't have time to get out to the Valley of Fire. Vegas in a helicopter with all those lights and beautiful fountains, pools and hotels is still worth it, and I knew JoJo would be excited for that.
Of course, what I didn't know is that we had set up the table with the champagne a little too close to where the helicopter was landing. That was actually really scary! That table came crashing down and poor JoJo got a cut on her foot from the champagne glass that shattered when it fell. So for all of you planning to have a helicopter land next to where you and your date are having champagne, make sure you set up far away. (I know. This is my life. How did I get here?!)
It was really kind of great though. Crouching behind that table with our hearts pumping and wind blowing in or faces, it created such an unintentionally romantic moment. I couldn't help but kiss her. JoJo and I just cannot get past that passion and that adrenaline was an unbelievable start to our date. I love moments like that. Moments when everything goes horribly wrong and it couldn't be more right. Those are the moments in life you remember and talk about forever and I loved sharing it with JoJo.
What I didn't love, however, was that the other women were watching as I kissed her. I had made a very big effort up to that point, taking Sean [Lowe] and Jason [Mesnick]'s advice from before I met the women, not to kiss any woman in front of any other woman. It was just a matter of respect to me, and I have the utmost respect for everyone of these ladies that took the time out of their lives for a chance at love with me. When I found out that they had seen the whole thing, I was very upset. It was never my intention, and I hate that they had to witness what was supposed to be a very private moment between JoJo and me.
Anyway, back to the date itself. Our helicopter ride was gorgeous, but more than anything just showed that we have chemistry that is just undeniable. But I still needed to see if there was more to us than just that. So when JoJo was able to explain why she hadn't really let me in and tell me about her most recent relationship, it made her make so, so much more sense.
I could sense that she was holding back from me a little bit emotionally and hearing that story I could absolutely see why. And I think her being able to admit that was the first step in us getting past that as a couple and actually starting to connect on a deeper, more emotional level.
