I have the same feelings.

For me its between her or Olivia.

They really, really wanted Chantal to do it, so I think that if they had an F2 girl they liked enough or got the public response they wanted, they could move around scheduling to make it work. Even Becca originally signed a contract to be the Bachelorette last year, so they did consider her, at least briefly.

I can definitely see Lauren as F1.
Lauren H (how cute both Ben H and Lauren H) reminds me of Ben H and I can picture them together.

Both very, very "normal" and seem to, on paper, have similar backgrounds and family values.
Something very mid-western about her and Ben.

Out of Olivia, Joelle, Becca and Lauren H(my possible F4)and limited pre-show info, I think Lauren comes across as most "real".
She is the only one of those four who's never been on TV before (that is known at least).

IA with Elon and CP, the other person I see as possible F1 instead of Lauren is Olivia.

IA with AAL, Elon and CP and see Lauren H or Olivia as F1 . Ben could not get more "normal" on this show than Lauren H IMO.  :Nod:

Just saw this play out on Bach Aussie and Bette Aussie with people that are similar (not that I have any idea if they are since this is based on such a little).

I think also, and probably more accurately for myself personally, I have no idea really who Ben H is so that will be interesting to find out.

Good mercy, I was backing Olivia and Lauren for F1.  


On to picking the next possible F1.

I liked both Lauren & Olivia for Ben so this wasn't a good week for my instincts.

I honestly can say I really don't have much idea who Ben is... so maybe the idea of who he will go for (someone like Lauren H) is why I based so much on the similar interests.

Ben was very scripted, imo, on K's season and other than SM, not much of him (he never did much interviews like the other guys) and maybe he wants someone more like K? If so, then imo that is more like Jojo/Joelle than Lauren H (based on limited info of course so no idea ).

I think I may just pick who Ben may choose as someone I wouldn't see him with. Maybe it will be more accurate...

Most seasons the person that the board (and fans) think is great for the lead does not pan out and the lead goes and chooses the opposite.
I agree we don't know too much about edited Ben to make a call.

Even Ashely H who had such a happy ending. We didn't have preseason info on JP but based on differing religions itself I would not have picked him as F1.
Just because a person checks off all "our" boxes does not mean they check off for the lead.


I hope I don't get into trouble for saying this but folks are getting way too caught up with the fact that their pick has been eliminated. Its just a fun guessing game at this point. Heck even prior to the FRC (and yes even beyond years and seasons later !) there are still folk that insist that their pick is/was/would have been better and wish doom and gloom on the couple.

I don't think that's the same thing here, nd. These are are pre-season favorites and we haven't seen them with Ben yet let alone on the show. IA that it's just fun at this point and doubt that anyone's too worked up over it. I'm more disappointed that Lauren & Olivia going home now means they're unlikely to be contenders for the next lead imo.
