Bachelor 19 - Chris Soules - Discussion - #3

While DWTS was on, there was something about Chris and Rumer that seemed "off" considering Chris was engaged. They did a contest where they showed pictures of people's body parts (I think) at any rate, Chris quickly identified Rumer's bum. There were several other times where they were shown with their arms around each other. Are they boyfriend and girlfriend? Probably not, but I think they got to be pretty good friends. While everyone was talking about Chris and Witney C and thought they were a "thing", good girl Witney was seeing her HS sweetheart to whom she was now engaged.  She had no interest in Chris other than being a big brother and her student.

If he is to be believed,  he is just trying to put a face on pig farming.  In 20+ years working in NYC, including just upstairs from Madison Square Garden where the game was played, I never saw a pig, not even a flying one!!!

LOL Nuts, I literally saw a flying pig in Madison Square Garden at Roger Waters' Dark Side of the Moon concert in May 2007!!

Soules will help broker deals with celebrities, athletes, musicians and business moguls who want to buy farms or recreational land in Iowa. The idea is that he can make connections with clients the average farm real estate agent can’t, Bruere said.

Yeah cause bunches of celebs are flooding Iowa to buy farm land in transactions that their tax attorneys cant handle for them from LA and NY.
WHatever. He gets to write off all of his travels to NY and LA where he's still trying to score more fame.

Rumer told people magazine that they just met up for the game and they are only friends from the show.

This just about made me choke. LOL At first I thought you were going to say in the 70's which would explain seeing flying pigs.

Wasn't he doing something similar to that? I don't know about Iowa but in my neck of the woods if you slam a real estate agent like that, good luck in getting any of them to bring you an offer. Good luck with that, Realtor wannabe. Every realtor in Iowa is going to be slamming him.

Whenever I hear the phrase: "nice guy" it triggers something I have heard numerous times over many years. 
Who exactly isn't a nice guy? Something I think about.
One of the first things neighborhood acquaintances etc will say about someone making the news for something horrendously bad(I am specifically thinking serial killers) is "...and he was/seemed like such a nice guy."

Well, from the article, it sounds like this is a great opportunity for Chris, one that he didn't seek out but fell in his lap, and frankly, he would be a fool to turn it down. He's apparently done this kind of work in RE before, and it IS related to his extensive farming background, which we always knew was geared more towards the business/economics side of farming, and not just plowing the fields (which he probably pays people to do for him). I wouldn't view this as any more desperately seeking fame than I viewed Jillian using her real creds in design to parlay into a more financially lucrative career in that field that was now available to her due to the media exposure she got on TB.
