I think that "stumble along the way to the end as they all do" is a lot of how they want the edit to appear.
I don't think it necessarily is the way it really is.

Thanks umngirl. It will probably be the same storyboard, if one twin goes, so will the other.

IMO Ben's BS meter is quite sharp. He didn't have any issues questioning Kaitlyn when she spent the night in their room and he got the cot.

I see him as a logical person, who may hesitate in having a conversation but is assessing a situation before he speaks.

We have no idea, that I know of, what the relationship was like with his ex. Opinions were formed here based on an article that apparently quoted her or quoted sources. I see no relation between him not being able to assess genuine characters and his relationship with his ex girlfriend.

IMO, we're all speculating! We're all making snap judgements on an edited version of him, edited articles, and stories we hear from biased sources. I don't think there's ever been a lead that hasn't surprised us (either in a good way or bad) after their season. Ben himself said he will make mistakes as the lead b/c he is human. Until March rolls around, it's impossible to say for sure what he will or will not do.

FTR, I really, really like him and think he's one of the few catches this show has actually cast as lead. I just think he has faults like everyone else and will make mistakes and am just speculating on a potential one. Jmo!

I don't like seeing generalizations.
Too many times things take root and grow when there is nothing to substantiate. Then pages are written refuting such and page are written to defend something that never had any substance. Suspect

Snap judgments can be good or bad. If one thinks he is logical, what is it being based on? We really only know from him from limited screentime, edited articles, and biased stories. It's a judgement being based on very, very little information. I think he's a good guy, b/c that's what everyone says about him, I liked how he defended Kaitlyn and JJ at mta, and he does charity work. But, so did people like EM and JP once upon a time and we saw how that turned out.

Maybe this is just a case of semantics but all I'm saying is that we don't know much about him and we still all have opinions about him based on little real information.

I think he's logical the way he handled the kids sex epi, the way he asked Kaitlyn about what happened in the room when he left, the way he exited the show, he thought before he spoke. This is my opinion.

Whether it be through friends/family, spiritual endeavors, online dating etc. , the chance of meeting someone with like minded goals would IMO have better odds than trusting your fate to MF.
I don't understand how one makes the mental connection that this show is the answer for someone serious.

While I agree that the show attracts a lot of people who have no interest in getting married at that time, I think, and facts have proven out, that some of the contestants truly are interested, ready and willing to meet and marry if they find the right one (Jash, Sean/Cat, Des/Chris, Jason/Molly). I also don't believe ANYONE goes on this show single-mindedly, for one reason only, but for any combination of the following- meeting someone to date/marry, making new friends, possible travel/adventure, break from humdrum real life, become a "celebrity" for a while, make a career as a "fameho", get exposure to further an existing career or to launch a new one. I also believe many of today's twenty somethings are of the mindset that they would like to experience being on a reality show at least once as a "rite of passage", and this one doesn't involve eating any bugs or going for weeks without showering.

I also think that many go on for the adventure and other reasons but they wouldn't mind finding love. Two of my co-workers have applied at different times. One may have made it when they asked her for a video but it was Ben F's season and she didn't want to be on it so didn't bother. Luckily for her she met her now husband right after that and they have an adorable baby. The other one tried this season but didn't make it. I'm sure there were lots of women applying this season. Ben's a cutie.
