  Well said and I agree.  I don't need to Kaitlyn or Andi to have an opinion on Nick.  My opinion is on Nick himself, independent of whatever anyone else did on the show.  And my opinion is pretty much stated perfectly above.  So Ditto.

Cat's DM to Nick showed me that it really is true that one doesn't know these contestants.

Many might say Cat would never want her friend with someone like Nick. Well, Cat herself just proved that she DOES want her friend with Nick and reached out to him for that very reason.

It only goes to show that what one sees or thinks may not be the reality at all. Doesn't mean one has to like these people, but it shows me that often times one's perception is not and can actually be the opposite of reality.

Cat's DM doesn't prove that she wants her friend with Nick. It just shows she is a good friend and reached out to Nick like she said she would. Says more about her view on friendship than her thoughts on Nick IMO.

Besides, the chances of Cat's friend and Nick actually getting together are probably around 0.05%.

I let Cat's own actions speak for themselves rather than what I think she is or isn't.
Say what one will but if Cat disliked Nick she would definitely NOT be wanting her friend with him and reaching out to him.
And not only that, her DM stated that her friend had liked him for a while and still liked him.
I find it ludicrous that Cat reaching out to Nick for her friend to date him is seen as a negative thing on Nick.
Cat contacted Nick, not the other way around.

It seems like there's no benefit of the doubt given to Nick and he is damned no matter what.

I didn't say it was a negative on Nick. I just don't view it as some endorsement of Nick. She reached out for her friend because she said she would. Simple.

Why is it not an endorsement of Nick?
Did Cat herself state that she doesn't endorse Nick?

Because, IMO, when a friend tries to set up another friend with someone that is endorsing them.

Very good post and totally agree. Cat would not set up her friend with Nick if she did not like him. Also to me it is funny how he does all this charity events on his own , loyal to his friends, fans, and great family guy. But if he post a shirtless pic. we get four pages of discussion .

She wasn't playing matchmaker. She passed on the friend's picture to Nick in case he was single because her friend asked her to. She's being a good friend. I'm sure she doesn't downright hate Nick since she's never met him as he said in his response. But that doesn't mean she's a fan. I'm sure she would have or has done the same thing to other Bachelor guys or girls for friends. She has the connection so she's using it. Simple.

Anyway, it feels weird dissecting private DMs because some a$$hole hacked her account.

Yup. It's why I think Nick is just damned no matter what.

It seems like even if Cat herself came out and said she would love it if her friend dated Nick it would be seen as not a positive thing about Nick.

It's bizarre.

That's exactly what it is when a person contacts someone to let them know her friend is interested.
That's how people play matchmaker in this day and age.

Did anyone notice Cat didn't actually endorse her friend and Nick getting together by saying something all the lines of "I think you two were hit it off" or "You guys would be super cute". That to me is an endorsement.

Like I said, we are discussing private convos only made public by a low life criminal and personally that feels like an invasion of privacy.

I would really prefer to drop the whole DM conversation. Whether it's Catherine, or anyone else's DM, or private account, we don't share information that's private. I consider that private. I realize the story is out there now however, to me, it's still a private matter.
