The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Potential Contestants - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I don't think she has is going on the short w. But she seemed a little cryptic with saying "I'm leaving by for a while" haha why not just say you're going to the Phillipines or whatever.

I remember reading that Tenley was taking her Mom to the Philippines in October. It is wild how the tweets are so vague. I think she wants people to keep thinking she is linked to Ben. Or at least wonder. JMO

Friends of Olivia Caridi confirmed that the TCU alumna will be on the next season of “The Bachelor.”

The Bachelor has not published an official list of women who will be on the show yet, but Reality Steve, a site known for publishing correct spoilers for “The Bachelor”, has leaked her name as being one of the contestants for Ben Higgins’ season.

Friends of Caridi are confirming this information.

“She told me a couple months ago she was going on the show but asked me to keep it a secret. People couldn’t find out for a while,” said Alex Apple, a former TCU student and friend of Caridi.

Before she left to go on “The Bachelor”, Caridi was working as a news anchor at WCYB in Bristol, Tennessee. “She decided to leave that job when she found out about the show. It was her sister that originally applied for her,” Apple said.

The news about Caridi being on the show is starting to spread around campus and some students are getting exciting about watching a former TCU student on the show.

“I do think I’ll be more inclined to watch it if I know someone on it because you have that personal feeling,” sophomore journalism major Kasey Bowen said. “I don’t know Olivia [personally] but I know she went to TCU so it’s cool that we have that connection.”

Caridi flew to Los Angeles Monday after attending the TCU/SMU game last weekend.

The next season of “The Bachelor” is set to premiere in January.


If she has known for a couple of months now, then that must mean she was part of a select few atop their list.

Which is consistent with the idea of a storyboard being in play for awhile also.

If this cast person, Olivia was actually considered for this season(and age and religious/spiritual background suggest that), then a storyboard specifically for Ben was also in play months ago.  
This suggests that Ben was in line to be TB for quite some time and not a recent choice with others in serious contention.

As someone who went through casting, she prob found out in Aug, for sure. But she prob knew she was going to final casting a couple months ago. They tell you right when you get bumped to the stage before final casting "not to tell anyone, even friends and family, so not to spoil the show" . That's prob what the friend in the article meant, or she didn't know exactly...

Oh ok. Didn't Chris bluntly come out and say that Ben was the obvious choice from the get go? Also, wasn't it speculated that right before home towns they were filming in Indiana, which may have had something to do with that..? I feel like Bens edit all season crossed off everything on the list. They made sure to highlight certain things about him. For example, the talk with Kaitlyn about his age and not having a problem with dating an older woman because it doesn't matter to him. It was pretty much an allude to the fact that when he became the Bach, yeah he'd be very young, but it's not going to stop him from taking a chance on an older gal. Plus, there was just a lot more "clues" like I said.

Superficially speaking, as a very tall girl myself, I say, "go, Olivia!" I'm tired of really tall guys like Ben ending up with tiny women. That plus her preference for good grammar is making me a fan. And she seems to have a great personality from that video. The only thing I question is her leaving her job to go on the show, but it might be true that the exposure "could" help in her career down the road. I definitely expect her to be a front runner. Oh yeah, and she's also stunning.

I think that barring any confrontations or negative editing, appearing on this show could be an excellent addition to the beautiful Olivia's collection of on-camera and media skills.

No matter how thorough your broadcast journalism education is, there is no substitute for being televised. And the more varied the situations, the better. Being on this show will probably give her a lot more insight to the business. I think it's a smart move, IF she gets the right editing.

And as I think they do a lot of "customizing" to the overall show story on the fly, her attitude and how she interacts with the other contestants is going to have a lot to do with how she's shown. It's always a crap-shoot for these ladies.

If Ben isn't interested in her, she could always become the season's narrator.
