According to RS, she was talking to both Nick P. and Joe before the season started filming.  When he arrives, she's already with Joe, so he asks someone else out on a date.  But it comes out that she was talking to him before heading to paradise like Joe, so she and Joe get into a fight.  At the RC, she gives her rose to Dan instead of Joe, sending him home.  So the next epi, she and Nick go on a date.  They left paradise as a couple and are still together unless something's happened recently and RS hasn't been updated!  

Who'd have thought mystery girl, silent Sammi would have so much drama surrounding her/her relationships in paradise?

Yeah, I saw that! She and nick are still together, I'm pretty sure, because I see them flirt on Twiter.

I'm a little surprised that such a big deal is being made out of talking before filming, as I always thought they all did that. Like, Tenley/Kiptyn were already talking before their BP season. I think the sketchy thing is that she basically promised herself to two guys - like her text "do whatever you can to get a rose" just seems like a way to ensure that Joe would be there to give her a rose. I wonder if Samantha is going to be hated by the cast, since it seems like she did screw over her friend, Julia. It will be interesting to see what Julia and JJ say about her at the after paradise show.

Imo Samantha did nothing wrong to Julia as of what they showed last night. She did not know what joe did previously or to whom.

But if she had communicated to nick as well that they would hook up during the show she is essentially 2 timing both guys. Classy.

Hope nicks eyes r wide open. Specially now after the hot tub scene.

It's not the pairing up that is wrong but the false promises that are.

I have heard that prior to filming many of the potential cast are given cues by production who to mingle with as far as coupling. So part of what we see can be production storyboard and some cast personal selection.

I don't think she *wanted* to know. Newly arriving cast members who don't want to step on toes take a bit of time to discover who is already coupled up. It was clear that Samantha had a different strategy, one that would give her plausible deniability for knowing that her friend Juelia had already flagged Joe. I'm not saying that I blame her for doing it...just that I think she went after what she wanted regardless.
