THE Bachelor ride has ended for this season’s quietest contestant, but Rachel admits she was hardly surprised to be shown the door.

As the only lady left in the mansion not to get a single date, viewers had begun to wonder how the 29-year-old was even still in the running. But, as one of eight bachelorettes left standing, she must have been doing something right. Right?

“I definitely didn’t have the loudest personality out of everyone in there so I guess it’s not too surprising,” she told news.com.au.

“It’s pretty clear who Sam has a connection with so it’s understandable they [producers] would show more of those people.”

With a hint towards Thursday night’s adrenaline fuelled rivalry during the go-kart racing date, Rachel said she was happy with how she was presented on the show. “I think it was pretty accurate of who I am, at least I didn’t look like a crazy!”

Having a bit of a dig at herself, the charity worker from Adelaide joked that a friend had asked her if she’d even spoken to the Bach during filming. She assured us that she had.

“I think, ultimately he’s the kind of person I’d love a friend to be with and we’d all get along really well. But for me, a friend is enough.

“As I noticed other people forming deeper connections with him, I realised that I didn’t really have that. I was waiting for a single date, I was waiting for that chance to get to know him better.”

While Rachel’s Bach dream is over, she said a select few of the girls are forming deeper connections with Sam, particularly her closest pal inside the mansion, Sarah.

“Sarah is going to be a friend for life, we definitely clicked. It’s that girl code thing I guess, once she started having really strong feelings then I was like, ‘Oh yep, he’s all yours,’”

On Heather, she said: “I definitely think she’s being herself. She’s an old soul. She’s been through a lot, she’s so lovely and warm and friendly and I think that people are quick to judge her.”

On Emily, Rachel chose her words carefully. “I think that there are certain people that are slightly differing in front of Sam then when they are with the girls. I was interested to see what Emily was like on her date as opposed to what she was like around the house ... She is a princess but she owns up to that.”

But who’s got the edge so far? “Snezana, for sure.”

After Thursday night’s episode, we’d have to agree. Sam himself said during a romantic solo date with the 34-year-old mother of one: “I really do feel like a life with Snezana would be the sweet life.”

The Bachelor Australia contestant Emily Simms has slammed Bachie Sam Wood for being insincere and saying the same things to each of the girls during one-on-one dates.

While many have been captivated by Sam’s charm, Emily reckons the 35-year-old needs to come up with some new romancing material.

‘I don’t think what you see is what you get,’ she says of the kids fitness instructor. ‘Having been on a single date with Sam, it’s very interesting seeing how he interacts with the other girls on single dates. He’s saying the same thing to them as he is to me,’ she claims.
