Plus, I think it helps keep the lead from having to rewrite history and/or lie their way through the season (on SM, interviews, etc.).  We all know the F1 wants to feel secure and happy with their love story and not worried about what happened with all the other relationships.  Personally, I would think hearing that there was just more there with the F1 and you couldn't live without them, should help everyone.  It would give closure to the relationship for the F2-3 and whoever else might have fallen hard inside the bubble and were trying to move on, as well as, allow the F1 to feel secure in the relationship. Or at least as much as one can find closure and security during the filming and airing on this show since TPTB do a real hatched job on the edit and number on the people choosing to go on this show, lead and those hoping to find love alike.

I don't even think she's trying to protect Shawn anymore. I think it's all 100% about her own feelings, insecurities, and regret.

Steve finally brings good scoop- the deal with Patagonia fell through for whatever reason and that's why they had to adjust the show from 6 to 3 instead of 4 and stay in Ireland an extra week.

"OMG, it's NICK!!!" was the most excited I saw her this season. But ok.

I wonder if Shawn is even watching the Nick stuff; it seems like her lies only work if he's not watching. I could totally see CH stirring the pot and being like "what's it been like to hear all these tabloids talking about your fiancé's relationship with Nick? How did you feel when she had sex with him or told him ILY?". I think that S/K will hold it together and not get into a major fight, but their body language will be off.

He has had plenty of time to think about what he is going to do at the AFTRC. I highly doubt that he will bring drama to the show he got his closure this time and seems very happy with his life right now. I really think that K's post show behaviour has shown Nick that that is not the girl he thought she was. JMO

One part of me hope's you're right Whit... but another part wants to see Nick nail the offenders to the wall. Yes, he's moved on so they can't hurt him... but he can hurt them.

I always thought that the original foiler was planned because they wanted Nick to believe she was single so he would make a play for her at the ATFR. If he was kept in a ready room they could have kept him from seeing the ending as it was shown to the TV and studio audience.

I've also suspected that Kaitlyn figured out what was being planned and her solution was snapchat.
JMO

I just finished the MTA episode and Kaitlyn is so completely FOS about the entire Nick situation. Do we know that Shawn is watching these episodes? I can't imagine Shawn is fully aware of the extent of that relationship. Perhaps his buddy Cupcake will fill him in.
