Kaitlyn and Shawn are unemployed right now (CMIIW) other than being lead and F1 for the show.
Being engaged as lead/F1 is basically their only job right now.
I don't see a breakup before ATFR even if they wanted to.

So totally agree. 
Then all those post ATFR promo salaries are nice, too.  They will stick together for a few months, maybe even as long as Ace and MEandI. When the money starts to peter out, so will the romance/relationship. JMOAA

Time will tell! This is the mantra and it is coming early this season. Hehe. ;) I just want to see them all gushy at the ATFR and I'll be happy. I think we will get it too.

Gushy is good but I prefer to be engaged to someone who has a job. Especially if we are getting married soon. But that's just me and real life rearing it's head. Can't live off love.

That being said, IA with Kasha "When the money starts to peter out, so will the romance/relationship." I don't see Shawn being like Sean and making money from this show the same way. But who knows. jmo

I saw Shawn's confidence towards Nick (and Ben) as a way to cover his insecurity in front of the "underdogs". He was not going to give Nick the satisfaction of telling him the night did not go as planned...no way! He would have to suck it up and put on that brave face to save face in front of "the other guy".

Agree with the bolded & will add that I would guess producers did not want Nick to know that Kaitlyn has confessed to Shawn. If Nick finds this out, he could interpret this as Kaitlyn wanting to protect her relationship with Shawn over keeping the privacy of their relationship intact. That wouldn't work very well for the show as it could derail getting Nick to the F2 spot.

I wouldn't be surprised that production told Shawn to go into the room & portray everything as being great. And I bet that suited Shawn just fine.

Fyr I don't think K and S are faking it but I am just confused by Kait's overt SM and People blogs and the TPtb allowing it.  

I don't think K and S are faking it either BUT I do suspect that TPTB know that Shawn's ego has to be fed in order to keep everything intact. My impression of Shawn is that he is very high maintenance and needs a lot of reassurance. IMO, the lack of intervention in Kaitlyn's overt blog and SM support of Shawn is a sign that the TPTB are tolerating it out of necessity.

It’s romantic and sexy until Kaitlyn confronts him about the running argument he is having with Nick. I would make exactly the same guess for exactly the same reasons. The show seems to have wanted a Nick proposal and it seems they got it. Why they deviated from the norm ever since Ashley's season is anyone's guess, but IMO they planned this when they decided to put Nick on the show - he would either be F1 or he would be a rejected F2. I think this was the story line they wrote and they passed that on to the producers to make it happen.
