Oh I agree right now everything is peachy but just a sinking feeling of what happens on ATFR is not going to be pretty.  Too much information is coming out about her and Nick and we have TPTB allowing her to blog about Shawn and avoid mentioning Nick.  Nick will not be ignored for long IMO.  TPTB really don't care if we have a happy couple at the end of the season, they'd probably rather throw Kait under the bus like they have been doing all season to her and Shawn.  TPTB are dancing in glee right now about the upcoming drama. jmho

Yes but you have to have faith that Nick, Shawn and Kait will rise above it.  Of course Chris H. will be relentless, and there will be some drama, and tears, but then it's over!  Kait and Shawn can head off to GMA and start their relationship in the real world and Nick can move on...which I think he already did.  He does not want to be attacked again post ATFR and will probably just wish them well.  


I think TPTB are focusing on ALL the drama that will be BIP. ;)

TPTB always have a reason, always, for portraying the lead and/or contestants the way they do.  Generally, the less favorable an edit, the less they either like or believe that the "couple" will last.  I see people asking why they couldn't concentrate on the "love story"!  Drama sells for one.   Kiptyn said after Jilly's season, that if you don't say it they can't show it.  He didn't give them anything to work with and his edit was pretty good.  TPTB pretty much trashed both Jillian and Ed with their "explosion" during the FD.

Each season gets more "trashy" than the last.  It started with Alex Michel sleeping with Trista and promising her she would be F1, then choosing the other one as his F1.

I would not be surprised to see both K and S fade into the twilight. They did it with Brad 2.

What sexting scandal?  Is there something more than what was already brought up about her and Nick prior to filming?

Nor really a scandal per se, just that E news report making her pre-show relationship with Nick more public.  I think this is a setup for something that's going to potentially throw K under the bus by the end of this.

All the more reason I can't understand why she kept Nick as long as she did if she "knew" Shawn was her f1.

I do think something has to happen at the end this, something "dramatic", what, I don't know, but I remember Ali tweeting that she knew the end and it was going to be "really good, that she can't wait to blog about it". IMO, it's really been Shawn they're pushing as her f1, so what would be "so good" about that, to me it's pretty much a given..

The producers may have plans for a dramatic, explosive ATFR show with all kinds of confrontational questions up CH sleeves, but IMO it will require that the three main characters take the bait and play along.  The biggest telling thing for me will be to see who plays ball.  One's character can be made or broken based on their response under this type of pressure.  

If you take post show behavior as an indication of how the ATFR will play out, I think that Nick will behave himself.  All his SM postings have praised Kaitlyn, her character and her choices.  He has made very minimal comments regarding the tiff with Shawn and when he has, it was done with humor.  IMO, Nick has spent the past two months making peace with the situation and prepping to appear at the ATFR with his best behavior.  

Plus, if he really does want to be the next Bachelor it would not help his case to appear in a negative, confrontational state.  I know that the news reports that Ben has been chosen as the next Bach, but if the producers are smart they wouldn't close the door on Nick until his story is finished this season.  And it appears that the juiciest part is yet to come.  Everyone loves when the controversial corner of the proverbial love triangle is denied and sent home crushed.  What might his happy ending be?  Might the ATFR be more than just a happy ending for Kaitlyn and Shawn, but also the begninning of Nick's fairytale ending?

And then there is Kaitlyn and Shawn's post show activity.  Which IMO has been less than stellar.  Kaitlyn has responded to her h*ters with sarcasm and slightly selfish banter.  Shawn has started to respond in a similar way recently.  Now in their defense, it is true that she has had to endure more negative attacks than any other bachelorette so far and it is completely undeserved.  But when compared to other contestant/lead responses, she is taking a more confrontational stance when dealing with her opposers.  And it is clear that Shawn is not adverse to confrontation given his fairly one sided verbal argument with Nick on the show.  

Taking these post show responses, it is my opinion that if a battle unsues at the ATFR show, it will be instigated by producers, but perpetuated by Kaitlyn and Shawn should they chose to "pick up the ball and run with it".  I love drama as much as the next person, but I am honestly hoping that all parties involved are able to avoid "living in the moment" at the ATFR.  I'd like to see them use their brains, think about their futures and hold their tongues.

Nah, more of the same old same old. Des got an awful, awful edit and they treated Chris and Des like s&@t!! It is true that TPTB love drama, but I bet this time it is all out there. Thanks kait!

I do think Nick does a mesnick (over a rail) and it will be heartbreaking.

I'd really like to know what the story is around the snapchat video because things have changed since that came out. Nick's overwhelming support of Kaitlyn has slowed, considerably. That also seems to be the turning point for Kaitlyn in her blogs and post show comments about Nick. Didn't the snapchat video "accidentally" come out the same time of the Nick and Kaitlyn sex episode?

You know in hindsight and after the last 3-4 seasons, methinks Des and Chris faired alright . Not getting a love story edit isn't as bad as the show basically making a mockery of you.

Yes! They basically ignored Des and chris post show, but Des got a HORRIBLE edit.

Actually Soccermom what I meant was Des and Chris didn't get the usual love story, we all remember why. But that still isn't nearly as disgusting as what TPTB have done in later seasons. At the time, it may have been one of the more weird edits/situations we'd seen in a while, but I never thought it was horrible. They just focused more on the Brooks aspect because that's good TV, and I'm sure it helped that the spoilers were wrong. They never railroaded Des and Chris as people IMO, and I thought they came out relatively likeable still.

Well I am preparing myself for the worst while hoping for the best. Still think the worst is going to win. This entire season has been drama - they left so much on the cutting room floor in favor of this manufactured drama, why expect AFTR to be any different.

Yes Max, these are interesting questions.  The snapchat video came out the Friday after Nick's first appearance on the show.  And yes Nick's SM support has slowed a bit, but he still has put supportive statements regarding Kaitlyn, her character and choices regarding sex after the video's release.  I have also thought about the fact that Nick and Whitney spent an evening in a local Chicago bar talking about a week prior to the snapchat release.  And then Kaitlyn spent the weekend and Monday following the snapchat release in Chicago with Whitney (and Becca).  Obviously she was sent there to cover up the snapchat spoiler, but I have often thought that maybe Kaitlyn and Nick did get together and talk when she was in town.  The Monday following the snapchat release, Nick and Kaitlyn were only two blocks away from each other while posting on IG within 10 minutes of each other.  Nick was with his sister and neice that day, but it could have been a cover for the meeting.  

The other thing that leads me to believe that there is not strong animosity between Nick and Kaitlyn is that some closest to Kaitlyn have been supportive to Nick.  Kaitlyn's sister has favorited Nick's posts even just last week on Twitter.  Kaitlyn's best friend Carson Drake said complementary things about Nick during one of Kaitlyn's periscopes (Nick is a down to earth guy) and he has favorited and liked Nick's SM postings on Twitter and Facebook within the past two weeks.  

Also, Nick's sister has reposted the article about the reasons not to sl*t shame Kaitlyn even just a few days ago and has posted a number of supportive tweets and liked a number of IG posts with Nick and Kaitlyn together kissing and such. (To be fair the majority of the IG favorites were early in the season right after he joined, but the Twitter activity is recent in the past 1-2 weeks.)  

So either those closest to Kaitlyn and Nick are trying to support the other person because there is no bad blood in the relationship or they are trying to compensate for the negative relationship that has transpired.  They could feel bad for the way Nick was treated and maybe would like to see Kaitlyn send more positive vibes in Nick's direction.  I do think that we will see Nick break down in tears when talking to Kaitlyn's sister and Mom, so maybe she just sees the nice guy that Nick is and would like him to know.

Interesting to think about...no clear answer for me, just thoughts.
