I agree with Kasha, they were both into it. She was not in anyway forced to allow him on her season. She is the lead already filming, having already had the group date where some claimed she told Shawn he was the one, and she was making out with Nick. I am a Nick fan, but I don't think he is so all powerful that women must kiss him. I see plenty of fans taking pics with him and they don't mention making out upon meeting him.

Kaitlyn was an equal partner in the Nick interactions. I find it hard to interpret any other way.

As for the last lead, well, she herself said that she and Nick had great conversations and we did actually see them talk quite a bit on their first 1:1 date. I found her to set the tone for her whole season, so I never saw it as him being so physical she had to follow. If anything she talked about Marcus as the physical guy. But that is just my perspective.

It really doesn't matter. Those who don't like Nick will never change their minds, it is okay. I still dislike the last lead and Emily and I don't know that anything will change my mind either. We all have people that rub us that way. It happens.

From SM, Kaitlyn initiated and from then on one can argue a case for who dm'd who, who asked for whose number, who came on the show, who initiated coitus, etc, etc. But initiating or not for the other stuff, no one is forcing anyone to accept what is initiated. Takes two to tango, imo.

I don't dislike Nick at all but think he pursued Kaitlyn first and came on the show by choice. She responded pre-season but likely had a good idea she was going to possibly be the lead so was basically a flirtation on both sides. By allowing him on the show and having sex Kaitlyn was clearly a willing partner by that point. No blame on either side other than timing. JMO

So, for those who want to know how the scene was edited together, re-watching the cuts (without Kaitlyn's parts)
- very wide shot: we see Nick walking into the lounge with JJ, Joe already sitting at the right end of the couch with a drink in his hand, JJ goes around the table and sits on the chair next to "Nick's couch", Nick sits in the middle of the couch, having the bottle and glasses right behind him.
- Nick's "smiley" medium close-up shot sitting in the left corner of the couch ... while the voice-over starts the recounting (from PI) .. he is looking at someone on his left and nodding
- wide shot: where supposedly Joe asks Nick about the date, filmed behind Joe's back, we see Nick in the middle of the couch sitting straight and JJ in the arm-chair.
- mid-shot of Nick saying "good day yesterday ..."
- wide-shot from behind Nick's back, Joe and JJ still sitting like before

I really don't feel the need to analyze that scene so deeply personally because if Shawn has any inkling that Nick and Kait had sex, he wouldn't be knocking on her door for their late night chats, he'd be howling at the moon and attempting to change shapes like an animorph (yay 90s tween books!). So yeah, no Nick sex reveal yet imo.

That much is obvious ... although there are still a lot of people on SM who think that Nick has told them ... and that's why Shawn was having all those "mantras"

I was just curious, reading all these comments about that scene and finally re-watching it ... I've realized, that most things we see Nick telling is not in Shawn's or most guys' presence ... it could be that he was telling to the only 2 guys who weren't on the date that day .. or maybe to someone else entirely.

Nick said it best when he tweeted when it was shown "If I had kissed and told the mood on that group date would have been a lot different" or something along those lines. Great edit sleuth Happy!

It is always nice to see the sleuthing to back up thoughts and opinions about what these contestants may or may not do.

If there were no analyzing and given the spoiler already, there would be no point on anyone posting at this point.

I was on vacation for 2 weeks and watched the past 2 DVR'd episodes back to back on this past Tuesday.
A couple of thoughts: It seemed to me that a lot more air time was given to N and K's date that has been on previous seasons. I'm a long time watcher, but I could be wrong.
Also, Shawn reminds me of Nicholas Cage in Moonstruck (voice and mannerisms). I kept waiting for him to call her Loretta.
Since Snap Chat Gate, I'll be watching this as a comedy, but I will not enjoy watching Nick be heartbroken.
