That stuck out to me too - it's possible that it was just producer prodding (what if Shawn really IS the one you are supposed to be with? What if Nick is just a sl*t-shamer like everyone else think he is? What if Nick finds out that you spent 8 hours in bed with Shawn and he leaves too?), but, yeah, very telling. To me, that honestly makes it a little worse. It's one thing to have a Ali moment, where she thought Roberto was the one until she went on a date with Frank, but it's another to be consistently believe "I'm in love with Shawn and want to end up with him and only him...but I'm going to be all over another guy and have sex with him".

I actually thought her explaining why she was attracted and giddy with Nick was OK as an answer to the question she was asked.

But given that this is probably the most we've heard about Nick as a person from this this week, for Nick, this is definitely Andi 2.0 -- I reckon he'll definitely feel like his relationship is being belittled and tidied up.

I do feel like Kaitlyn has definitely changed her tune on Nick. In the beginning of the season, she talked about how she knew that he was a good guy and came on the show for the right reasons and in her blog, even said that they were the "closest two people can get without ever meeting" and that he was her "to-go advice person". Now, she barely mentions Nick in her blog, is straight-faced about him while gushing about Shawn, Ben Z, Chris, etc. in her interviews. I wouldn't be surprised if there is still tension in their relationship about Nick and that she's downplaying their connection for Shawn.

It really does seem like Andi 2.0. Except it doesn't seem like Nick is as into Kaitlyn as he was into Andi. It might just be the editing, but I feel like he probably does need someone a bit more ambitious and intellectual for the long-term.

Some of us said from the get go that Nick had no business being on this season because we did not see a long term connection with Kaitlyn. Nick is just too cerebral for Kaitlyn & IMO Andi was a better match for him intetllectually at least, JMHO.

That's how I saw it as well. The interviewer wanted to know what it is about Nick that immediately draws women in, and I think that's a fair question, since it's not like it's usual for two leads in a row to be smitten with the same guy to the point of having sex with him on TV. He's not even considered attractive by most viewers, yet makes women swoon like few others. So it's a very good question and I think Kaitlyn's answer was pretty spot on. He does have this confidence about him, he's not afraid to touch the girl he likes or flirt with her. He makes them feel wanted. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, far from it, I'd want a guy I'm dating to be like that around me as well. It's not like Nick's like that around every single female, just the ones he really likes.

That said, I did sense some dislike or discomfort when she was talking about him, but I guess that's to be expected if she's engaged to Shawn. Who wants to explain why they were so turned on by another guy while engaged to someone else, who also happens to hate said guy? Awkward.

I also didn't take what she said on the balcony as meaning she never had any intention of picking Nick. If Nick had told the other guys, then I don't think she would've wanted anything to do with him and I don't blame her. But I was bothered by her thinking he might do that, since it showed such distrust. Why sleep with someone you don't trust in the first place? I hope it was just producer prodding that made her consider that.

hadn't watched the aol video that aal posted was just responding to the "he's a flirt" comment without context -- sounds like will have to watch back to get a real read... In any case -- K has changed her tune on him and that signals what's happening in her current relationship with shawn... i hope they make it cos it's already a lot for this relationship to come out of the bach bubble --- shawn's behavior as an F1 very much shows he has very little confidence in K and her behavior shows that she's very much modifying her speech and descriptions and behavior for him even since the beginning of airing when she was very much supportive of Nick.

Yes, IG, especially the Irish ones.

The drinking and partying was fine. I'm a fairly liberal Episcopalian, and we find lots of occasions to drink and party at church. I was offended by the use of soft core porn music and loud suck face kissing audio over a shot of the cross and stained glass windows depicting the life of Christ. And, then an immediate cut to Nick feeling up Kaitlyn under her dress. Those were the editor's decision, of course. Those shots and audio cues juxtaposed with the cross were awful, IMO, but I pretty much expect that from tptb.

Ben H is upset? That's a different side we will see.
Shawn asking K if she is in love with him (this will likely be the first thing we see since they are wearing same clothes as Guinness date).

Question: has that ever happened before? A contestant straight up ask the lead, face to face, "Are you in love with me?"
