Married At First Sight - Season 3 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Have no idea if any of this is true but if all of it is then it contains spoilers.

Interesting, Brill. That was published Jun 2015, right around the time the other weddings were going down, I think, when the three women from S2 were all about being publicly united against the franchise, and the guys were probably still sucking up to Kinetic Content in hope of some $5k/episode gig.

If I read the reports correctly, SM is carrying death threats against Ashley?!? After seeing E7, I can see the frustration with a person who, for all intents, appears to have opted out. She's marking time until the show ends. David is entitled to be every bit as frustrated as he appears to be. Unless a near miracle happens, they're done. David will keep trying. Ashley will keep making excuses. At this point, I don't think the failure will sit hard on Ashley. David, I think, will take it really, really hard.

Sam and Neil... meh - same-o, same-o. Odds of success? 50/50 at best.

I was surprised (and pleased) to hear Dr. Levkoff confirm my basic sense of Vanessa's quickness to do the "he's not ready" thing. NTL, there does seem to be a good chance we'll find they stayed together.

Is this season worth watching?
I didn't watch S2 since it seemed like a bust, so just curious if this one is similar or better/worse.

Not so far, no. Well one couple is mostly happy, but the other two have gotten nowhere in 3 weeks. I wouldn't make death threats at Ashley, but that doesn't mean I don't secretly wish to wring her neck. Why on earth did she sign up for this show? I feel so bad for poor David.

Based on Twitter alone, I am 99% sure Sam and Neil stayed together and are still pretty happy. She actually sounds smitten with him. I have little hope for the other 2 couples although David does still seem pretty defensive and complimentary of his "wife". I just hope this show shows us some of the positive moments that led to Sam and Neil finding happiness. It's definitely a slow moving season.

I agree! She changed her Twitter picture to one of them together (think it's a promotional one) which hopefully seems like a good sign.

I would be shocked if David and ashley were still married. They barely touch and have never kissed. Ashley seems almost repulsed by him. Physical attraction is so important and they have zero. All imho.

I'm finding the edits so interesting this year. I think it's almost accepted now that Neil and Sam are still married (maybe the producers are giving us what we've asked for on the Bachelor, a real love story that grows slowly and develops and not a lot of crap) but they are moving at a snails pace. Ashley is so not into David, is it possible that the producers are playing with us and they are still together? I love David and he can do way better than Ashley...maybe they should have put David with Vanessa. I love Vanessa, she is awesome and so together....I can't stand Tres. He seems to be acting and I agree with Vanessa, he's not ready to be married, he's way to immature with some of crap he's said...apologizing to his buddies because he didn't have sex on his wedding night, bragging when he did finally have sex, and in such an immature way, and drinking enough to pass out? Seriously? Who does that beyond college?

I'm going to be gone a cruise this week and hopefully when I get back at least or two of these stories will have developed into something interesting to watch.

Totally agree about Ashley!! Have no idea why she signed up for this show unless it was just for the money!!

My only "defense" of Ashley is that something about David was wrong, as in all wrong from day one, minute one, or at least week one (maybe as simple as attraction, but I suspect something else), and then she decided for money (perhaps with his agreement) to go through the rest of the filming process.

She is laughing AT him on that ferris wheel, not laughing for joy or companionship.

I think she had reason to despise him.

If you watch her on camera behavior (what we get to see) from the standpoint of "She had legitimate reason to hate the match from day one," it makes a lot of sense. She agreed to keep filming, for the money or whatever reason, but she refused to go so far as to discuss intimacy with him on camera, etc. In other words, her recalcitrance is coming from a place of personal integrity.

And, as I have said elsewhere, in the REAL WORLD, on "day 20" (where we are in the filming so far) Season 2 was imploding in tabloids, with leaks from production nonetheless -- the matches were frauds, they were found on Facebook and Tinder a few weeks not a year ahead of time, etc. If the vaunted expert selection/scientific process was publicly revealed to be essentially a fraud, AND you couldn't stand the guy (and a smidge of the public dirt about him is correct), then her level of disengagement, refusal to sleep at the house, focus on her studies, makes a bit of sense.

True integrity would have walked away. But I suppose we all have bills to pay?
