JMHO but I think Nick needs someone that's not exactly like him but can compliment him -- that means keeping up with his intellect which I think K is able to do -- witty people are generally fast thinkers. she also said they had "good conversations" which means they are able to really connect on that level -- remember that ig post about a girl who can make him think in addition to the other things? I just would like to see what K's preference is for relationships...does she enjoy the sides of her that Nick brings out or not? I actually to be honest don't think K was thinking that way/seriously about compatibility from what we're seeing on this show
I think she's "following her heart" and is more a romantic swept away by emotion
so regardless of the fact if she can or can't be intellectual with him -- it's her preference for mental compatibility and intellectual stimulation that I'm questioning

IA. The thing is that we usually have a preference of type and when push comes to shove and we have to make a choice who/what we choose usually tells us what our preference is.

K would have to share similar qualities that Nick has in order to find him attractive and take him to F2.

It is just that IMO, I think that Nick is a lot deeper than his witty, sarcastic, funny side reveals/suggests. A lot deeper.
And that is the person Nick will be as a husband - a soulmate.

Soul level connection and not just fun, witty, romantic, sarcastic, nice guy.

I think that can be too intense for many people and they may even feel suffocated, especially a free spirit like K... not because Nick will overpower but because he will build his life around his soulmate and that may feel overwhelming to some because they may not feel like they can reciprocate that level of commitment/intensity.

Nick is after all, a guy who will leave everything to go after a girl he likes. I can only imagine the mountains he would climb for his wife/soulmate.

I think when K wants to be, she can be deeply reflective and thoughtful.

It's how often she is really -- how often can she act mature? I don't know how long a person can keep up with constant jokes and general silliness

I personally think that during this episode and the next few, Kait is enjoying the attention of two guys she finds attractive, in wildly different ways. I actually find her attraction to Shawn the more physical, with the relationship with Nick built on friendship. Nick plans to go back to software and the midwest. Shawn quit his job and is open to possibilities. Much like the choices made in many seasons, I think the decision to go down one path or the other has more with future aspirations, and less to do with sex/ "love". In real life, there are many people a person is attracted to physically/sexually, but that rarely is the reason to commit for life with anyone. It will be interesting to see where the edit takes us this episode. Hopefully, we get real conversation ( which tptb have hours of footage of) and not just lust vs love defined by anger and jealousy. Boy, talk about one- dimensional.

LOL yall notice that nick had his head bent looking at his hands throughout the conversation between the guys and josh?? my guess is Nick knew that this had to do with producer manupilation!!

I also think he knew the rose was given to him just as much as a statement to the other guys if not more so for that reason and also influenced possibly by producers

Just taking a stand for Joshua. I feel so bad for him. At the very least Tanner, BenZ and Shawn totally threw Joshua under the bus in front of Kaitlyn. They all voiced their displeasure about Nick being there but wouldn't admit it. Joshua should not have even had that conversation with Kaitlyn, again, but I think he was coming from a good place and was genuinely upset by the guys abandoning him in that moment.

I'm glad Shawn brought this up the following day and made a point of saying Joshua was a nice guy, but it was not real stand-up, IMO, for the guys to go deaf and mute in that moment.

I won't be surprised at all if we find out Shawn and Katilyn had some hanky-panky time in San Antonio. It would help explain how possessive Shawn already seems of Kaitlyn.

I think all the guys were unhappy with Nick in the beginning but it was a week & a half later and most had adjusted by then. Joshua seemed to be assuming they felt the same as him. I like Joshua and think he was pushed to talk to Kaitlyn again.
