The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - Epi 5 Jun 15th - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

The season really seems to start Episode 5:
... Kaitlyn's spoiled Final 3: Ben H, Shawn, and Nick all get roses this episode.
... It's almost like K had to wait for Nick to get on the show before she could have her 1on1 dates with Shawn and Ben H.

I think what happened is that tptb made her hold off on the dudes she really liked so she'd be primed for Nick to show up and accept him. She even said in her snap that she doesn't know the guys at this point. If she had spent a day with Ben or Shawn and fallen head over heels and felt confident about him, tptb would have been in trouble if after that Nick showed up and Kait was all, "nahh, I'm good, enjoy rereading the sexts on the plane home."

I agree they knew Nick was coming and didn't let her have 1:1's with her top few guys. Jared got one right after Nick appeared and Shawn and Ben H the next week. They know exactly what they are doing.
I still think she would have let Nick stay, but it may have been a more difficult decision.

I don't disagree that K did not know any of the guys too well at this point.
Still Shawn was her F1 and they both talked about love at first sight.
Maybe it's possible she's rewriting history based on what came after.... particularly to justify Nick's return.

Based on Kaitlyn's reaction to Nick, I think she wanted him to stay, but I also believe she didn't have a choice. He was staying.

I agree that Jared/Shawn/Ben H's 1:1's were strategic. She had some work/damage control to do with these relationships now that Nick has arrived.

I agree that Jared/Shawn/Ben H's 1:1's were strategic. She had some work/damage control to do with these relationships now that Nick has arrived.

ITA; although I don't think she needed any arm twisting, the producers were prepared to do it if necessary. And I said yesterday, and agree that they structured the show up to that point, with very few 1 on 1s (and not with the guys she was most into), and group dates that allowed for less conversation and alone time, to insure that she wouldn't have made any deep connections before Nick came onto the scene.

Absolutely! This whole season has been structured around Nick entering when he did. And that was a very strategic decision by TPTB.

Agree with the above.    I was wondering why there were so few 1:1 dates and it could definitely be why this season feels like it is progressing so slowly. Hopefully now that Nick has arrived, we can start watching Kaitlyn get to know all the guys better.

he's so cute and charming he's gonna have all the women viewers swoon next monday I'm gonna call it -- he's gonna be tb next season -- he just has that "it" element

That looks fun. The dates are certainly getting better.
