IMO, RS's closest source is himself.

I can't imagine anyone from Nick's inner circle coming to RS for any reason so I agree RS is just trying to justify his own jealously and dislike of Nick. However, I do hope Nick is finally done with this franchise and resumes regular life.

Where does this new information leave Nick? Kaitlyn slept with him twice, brought his family to Utah, he proposed and she said no.  How is he taking it so well? And supportive of Kaitlyn on SM still? He has to have some negative feelings about this whole thing...must be keeping them quiet for the sake of not spoiling the show.  Sounds like a smart idea since he gave it all away last year.  Maybe Kaitlyn spoiled the ending to take some of the pressure off her F2 guys, both having to live a lie until the FRC airs.

I just hope that Nick knew the ending before the snapchat was released.  Otherwise, he would have had false hope with the rumor of her choosing no one...thanks to RS.  I can see the producers leaking that ending so that Nick still thinks he has a chance and attempts to continue wooing Kaitlyn post show.  Again, maybe she leaked the snapchat to fill Nick in about the truth and to give him the nod that it really was over.

OP ... IMO, the 1st cut is the deepest... so I would guess, it taught him a lesson on how to deal with the rejection on this show #begrateful #BlessedItWasntYou

if we take rs for his word - nick proposed and got rejected. i think we have the answer upthread about how he'd feel about a girl not choosing him back. I don't think he'd go after her if she rejects his proposal.

I just hope that Kaitlyn gave him the closure he deserves before the FRC and he just played the game with TPTB.

I believe Nick learned a lot from last season's ordeal. I can already see it in his words and attitude. He's well aware of how this show works now and how things may not be as they seem. Last season he went into it as a skeptic and was caught off guard by his own feelings. It was probably so unexpected that he felt there must be reason for it, that it's meant to be, so he had trouble letting go of the idea. He now knows love can happen on the show without it leading to anything and I'm sure he's rationalized it all during the past year. He also knows Kaitlyn a lot better **edited**, so he probably trusts her judgement a lot more. What I mean is that he's probably less inclined to think she made a mistake, even if her decision is not what he wanted.

Interesting point, what if he was happy because he thought she picked no one ...

Another possibility is that he was much better prepared for it all this time around, **edited**, it sounds like, gotten some perspective. Knowing how he felt then, and realizing now that him and **edited** would not have worked, he may have learned to trust that how things turn out is how they should be.

Got to say, however, that making it to the end and getting rejected twice cannot be fun.

Maybe he thought last season the girl made a mistake, and this season he agrees with it? Not that it's his decision to make either way, but I can imagine it's easier to deal with it if you agree with the lead.

I'm glad I am not the only one who comes up with devious ways the producers could manipulate situations for more drama. The thought that the "she chooses no one" spoiler was planted to make Nick believe he still had a chance occurred to me too.

I really don't see Kaitlyn leaving Nick in the dark about the outcome for over month, especially since they were friends before and had each others' phone numbers and email addresses and followed each other on SM. There's no reason for her to be so cruel as to leave him with false hope. Even if the producers told her to, she could've easily contacted him in private without them knowing. That's what friends do. She's not **edited**i.
