Andi Dorfman - The Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #4

I think that all it takes is someone who is pretty, relatively fashionable, enviable lifestyle, and has some kind of personality for girls to think she's cool. That's why all the kardashians, Laguna beach/the hills girls, bloggers like pink peonies and barefoot blonde are making millions every year, despite their lack of education and ambition.

Serious quiesion. Just out of curiosity, what makes her cool? I'm long past my teen years so I really don't get the facination with these wannabe "stars" who have no jobs and don't seem to aspire to anything other than more attention.

It's not a fascination. I follow her on instagram and twitter simply because I like her posts and because I'm a bachelor fan I'll check what she's up to while i'm on here. I like her street style, i think she's very pretty. I know a lot of people have a problem with her seemingly not having a job, and I don't know what her finances are or where she gets her money from but she can clearly support herself, so it's not something I think about because for me if it's not illegal, how someone pays their bills is none of my business. I like the slight mean girl streak she has because I think it's real. Nothing she's done since the show has surprised me because everything she's done is in line with who I think she's presented herself as being. I do consider her immature, and a bit bratty and insecure but I don't care because I'm a bit bratty and insecure so I can't judge. A lot of the things that bother other members about her just don't bother me because that's just who she is. That's not to say I agree with everything she does but because some of the personality flaws I see in her are ones I see in myself, I'm less judgemental about them. That's just my perspective on her.

Keep in mind, she is 27 and as you mentioned you are still a teen.
She acts more like a teen than a late 20 something, IMO.
IDK if what you are seeing in yourself are truly flaws. You are young and have maturing to do and will do so. The fact you already see things as flaws, shows maturity and growth.

ReneeM I agree with Kasha. Thank you for answering my question. You already sound a lot more mature than Andi. Self reflection is always good and that you are already doing that speaks volumes about your maturity.

I followed Andi on sm when she was on JPG season. I still follow her, but only on IG. Not a fan of her so much now, but like her friendship with Nikkie and Sharleen (I really like both!) so it is nice to see pics of them together once in a while. Do not find her too attractive, and do not like her fashion style either. I did like that she came out so strong and so intelligent during JPG's season, and at the beginning of her own season...I am still hoping for that woman to come back to reality, I guess.
In terms of using her law degree in other areas, I would say she could use her knowledge of the law to her advantage, ie: if she ever wants to start a business, or buy property, etc. I am sure it was useful to have that background, even if a general one, when it came to writing and publishing her "book"...
I think that having gone through law school could be beneficial and useful to a person in the business world in general, even if you do not practice as a lawyer. But I wish she would put her academic smarts to better use at this moment, instead of pushing product sales to get a commission, IMO
I don't see her as happy as others do, to be honest. I feel she is trying to be something she is not, this is just my own opinion though.

Thanks for letting us know what do you like about her, it's the reason I posted my questio, and I have a little idea now.

I must also say to appreciate your take ReneeM - thanks for sharing. I also agree with you that "when I see my own flaws in others I don't feel I can judge them" and the stance to be less judgmental of people because we are all flawed.

I will add (since I peeked in here) that I also see few traits of Andi in myself - as I used to be - and I'm 5 years older than her (if I counted good), so that's maybe why I'm more "harsh" about her, because I would expect more from a woman I see she could be.

And reading lots of "negative" comments about Andi, it feels like most opinions are coming from a similar (positive) place ... wishing for the potential not to be wasted.

Did she say anything in these two days?
Now that Josh is having a beautiful BLONDE girlfriend, before her "self-help" book even released, and Nick is rumoured to be on DWTS, i think she may go crazy 

She made an Andi/ANdy Murray joke/reference on social media yesterday right after it was pretty much confirmed Josh has a new GF.

Just checked what she said, it sounds bitter to me than poking fun at herself. 

The minute Josh gave her the baseball card at the LCD, she lid up and said in the ITM that it's huge for Josh to give her his family name, she dreamed to be a Murray. 

This is one if the things I don't like this person, imo, she picked Josh because she knew he would propose, and he has a kind of "royal" family in Atlanta

Agreed on your last point. CH even alluded to that saying that hometowns were a deciding factor for andi between Josh and Nick, whereas Kaitlyn wasn't swayed either way. I think andi definitely wanted to be Atlanta royalty with the famous brother-in-law and wealthy family. 

I didn't mind her tweet, but it does come off silly and as saving face, when it's pretty obvious she was the dumpee and she didn't make the choice to not be andi Murray.
