How would you describe your perfect woman?
How do I describe Sam? Only kidding. To be honest, she’d be very chilled, doesn’t take life too seriously and doesn’t sweat the small things.

How are you going to stand out from the other Bachelors?
I tend to take a step back when the guys are competing for some face time with Sam. I just let it unfold. Everyone is so in-your-face and I’m a little more reserved.

Are you a romantic?
Deep down I think I am. I’m not all about a big gesture. I’m about the “one percenters” – opening doors and drawing her a bath.

Who is your hero and why?
I look up to my father a lot. He’s got great morals and is a good role model. He’s been married for a long time and works hard for the family.

Describe your dream date.
Something simple like having a good steak at a pub and good conversation. If there’s a festival, on we’d walk down to that.
