Thanks AAL – I went on Periscope again and favoured the NZ Herald then went onto their recent button and found the video.

So………. It’s funny but more than a little rude. I’m not sure how much to repeat without getting my hand slapped by the Moderator. The video was short and Anika did a lot of talking. Below are the main points.

- Anika was able to fondle his abs (Lucky girl! However, she is gay so it was probably wasted on her)
- His Mum wasn’t that keen on him on doing the show “She was kind of anti it at the start” but once he decided she backed him “She just supports me in everything I do”
- He said they edited it so it looked as though his Mum liked Dani more. “Mum was pretty split”.
- When asked about the catwalk modelling date he replied “It was poop! Who would do that for a date!”
- There was a very rude joke about Mike Peru and Art which I can’t repeat – but I’ll say that Art has a typical 26 year old dirty sense of humour.
- When asked if he was still in the deep passionate throes of love with Matilda he said a resounding “Yip!” When asked if she was a B###tch - he said “She’s so not a B###tch at all.”
- He made a disgusting comment about poppy and the fart. Something to do with the “runs” (Yikes - please don’t tell me off Moderator!) – I just think he was trying to shock and I don’t believe what he said.
- When asked if he believes in marriage he said “I believe marriage exists.” Then when asked if he wants to marry Matilda he replied “Not yet”.
- When asked how he managed to date 21 women he said he didn’t know how he did it and it was insane.
- Again – only time he was aroused was when he was kissing Matilda on beach
- Only kissed on overnight dates – he was so tired that he just zonked out - ‘I was too tired – just stay over your side of the bed!”

There was also a bit a general sexy talk that had nothing to do with the show so I won’t repeat it.

At the start of the interview Anika said it was for Face to Face which is run by the NZ Herald so check the website in a few days – I imagine it will be edited though.

Also I just picked up the Woman’s Day. 10 pages of bachelor stuff including a cool piece about the women behind the scenes, - producer, line producer, senior publicist and chaperone. It looks like they have some interesting things to say. I’ll try and have it read and condensed by tonight.

One other thing that is an interesting tidbit of information:

Art and Matilda's handler post-show's name is Megan.
- She is quoted in the Yahoo article as the publicist laughing about how the rumors of Art are false, so she was with Art and Matilda when they did that interview
- She was with Art when he was out and about and at the Remix party. So those rumors of Art at the Remix party, etc were false. @megsstuart is her IG handle and she is seen with Art in an IG photo of him with his friend Anthony who is friends with Matilda too.
- This is the same Megan who was with Matilda on the Paul Henry Show when Paul said those are Matilda's "minders"and the camera pans to Megan and you can see her on the video when Matilda was on that show and Paul said that they don't leave her side.  

Seems like when they were out and about and events/media related things she was with either one and then with them post-show as well.

There was an interesting article that just came out on the NZ Herald that analyzed their body language as a couple. (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=11448717)

Although I thought the article went too far when saying that they're in the "friend zone" I find the comments about Matilda feeling "guarded" to be very true.

In my opinion, the only time where I saw Matilda be truly vulnerable was on the first Gold Coast date. That showed me that she truly cared about him and wanted to be out of the friend zone / be in love with him. However, on their last date she reversed back to presenting this happy and cheerful self (which she is, but that image is quite surface-level). Something wasn't quite right. I think Art has shown to be very ready to fall in love with her, but I think Matilda is having problems with uncertainty and letting go completely of any barriers. In that sense I can totally understand what the article is saying about their body language.

This part validated what I have been thinking about the page Matilda is on in this relationship. I think watching him on TV with other women after the show ended made her crawl back into her shell where she felt a need to further protect herself. That's a pity really because it can be bad news for the long term future, especially since I think Art is ready to move faster feelings wise.
"She uses quite a few pacifying gestures touching her hair and playing with her necklace when Art talks about the other girls, signalling she's not comfortable with the subject.She also pulls her left arm closer to her body, distancing herself from him in a sign of self-protection."

I have seen a lot of interviews with them by now. It must be exhausting to sit through all those interviews. I can't see that there is anything off with their body language. Sometimes they look bored, but I can totally understand why. Sometimes they look uncomfortable, but who wouldn't having to relive and relate to the past when all you want is to move forward. To me they seem to be very grounded, normal and realistic. Only time will tell if they will make it in the long run, but to me they are on the right path. JMHO.

I finally sat down and read some of the articles in Woman's Day. There's pretty much an article on all the main players so will recap in lots.

First off - Art and Matilda's first public date was at Odettes and not very private. They were joined by the Woman's day editor and two competition winners. The editor said they were very welcoming and that Art blushed when he said he was stoked that it was their first public date. She said they were very down to earth and lovely in real life.

- recently had family dinner and were excited they were able to  travel in same car
- acting like undercover agents for 8 weeks was "exciting because it felt very special to us, on the other hand, it was frustrating because all I wanted to do was show Matilda off"
- had 3 secret date locations on rotation- her mums boat, his uncles house and his Granddads apartment.
- intense one on one time had been so good. "I've got to know Art in a way I didn't get the opportunity to on the show. We've spent hours lying in bed just chatting and laughing."
- they text and snapchat all day. They have pornstar names for each other on their phones. He's Ozzie Tinakori and she's Shawnti.
- moment of truth! - "if I'm honest, from the very start, I liked Matilda a lot and in the back of my head, I think I knew it was always going to be her." ......." When I finally made the decision , it was more a self-realisation that Matilda is and was always the girl for me. It was staring me in the face the entire time," (Wow - there you have it! Just like we all guessed)
- the pair are optimistic that their connection will grow stronger "every time I see Matilda I'm more into her"
- neither have dropped the "l" word. "We've talked about it. We'll say it when we truly, truly mean it" says Matilda.

Well that was a quick rundown. There was other stuff we have all heard before. Will try and recap the other articles soon.

I think they are just a young couple in the first stages of their relationship. I think they are very sensible taking it step by step and not rushing into anything too quickly. I also like the fact that they are saying they are zero f##ks given. Probably the only way to go with all the interest in them. They are young and have all the time in the world to let their relationship develop. They need to see how they are in the real world - not the bachelor world or the secret dating world they have been in for the last 8 weeks. If it works out with them then that's great and if it doesn't - well the gave it a shot and provided us viewers with a lovely story.

I wonder what would happen if u sikked a body language expert on most long married couples.

This made me laugh when I saw it in my twitter feed. I love this kind of response. Not too direct, but one easily gets her point. Good for Matilda!

One thing that also reminds me of Tim & Jenna is the pace they (M&A) seem to be taking things. T&J chose to date in the real world. Jenna in particular expressed doubt as to whether one could really fall in love on a reality show. That said, both couples seem(ed) to realize that something special was happening and want(ed) to give it time to grow in the real world. In T&J's case, they didn't move in together until almost a year of dating. Then they gave it a year and then some to get engaged.

So I'm really not too worried one way or another as to how fast M&A move their relationship. If it's meant to be, it will happen. They need to move at a pace that's comfortable for them. I like the fact that neither seem to need to defend who they are as a couple too overtly. They are who they are. I really hope they make it, but if not, at least they will give it an honest try for themselves. They don't seem too worried about making the public happy...which I think is a good sign.

Marthur are growing on me! I hope this body language thing is just fatigue and ALL is well. Arthur is so into her. I was re watching their final date dinner--Matty was talking about Dani & Arthur looked mesmerized!!--to me it looks like he was fantasizing!!!
The huge smile on his face when Matty said that he was indeed 100% the fun guy she hoped to have by her side.
I still think that Arthur "gave" her something to make her "see" that she was it. When Cate had asked whether she was in love -her answer was she was waiting for some assurance from Arthur before letting herself go.!Her words at the very end of their final date during the kiss . included"I can feel my emotions exploding-- I'm falling in love with Arthur---" I like them a lot .Arthur reminds me of Tim(bach. Canada 2) His body language showed he was so into April and April not so much and ATFR during all those tv interviews it became even more apparent that she wasn't into him! I just hope that this won't happen to them. I wish them all the best & hope that they will grow old together. They seem to be grounded & genuine--& I think this will make the relationship grow stronger.
