IMO the various Vialls following Kaitlyn just before he went to NYC to the rap date is a show of support for his decision.

They chose to do so publically because they know fans look at SM - they know because some fans follow them.

Well then, he must have unfollowed him and followed him again because it shows in my activity and I screen capped it FTR.  Maybe that in itself is meaningful (a way to signal Elan via notifications) or maybe it was just a slip of the finger sort of thing.
