Nick Viall - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion #2

interesting thoughts AAL - considering the sum of what we know - I'm leaning toward Nick not being F1 at this point. And while his first photo right after getting back was of a very happy glowing face -- his photos afterwards have been of him with weary eyes... jmho
it's sad to think he got heartbroken again but I'm getting a sense that he didn't end up with K and his sm and overall vibe isn't that of an F1

I would never even think of him being F1 or not due to the fact whether he shaved or not. Where I live it seems to be the thing that all the young guys have now.  I can't see that making a difference with Kaitlyn since her previous boyfriends had scruff and I never thought of it as being disrespectful. Looking at the picture above, quite a few have scruff and that was in meeting her, when you want to make an impression.

That's what I thought too. Also, it looks like he started growing facial hair around Valentine's, and his post on 2/21 looks like the same style he's having now.

I actually think it's possible Nick grew beard during filming because Kait likes facial hair.  I don't think a beard at FRC times rules him out of being in F2.  Like with most Nick "clues", it's a coin toss.

He's had continuous scruff/beard as early as Feb 8th from the pics on his IG that we know are probably real time.

IMO I'm not judging too much on SM pics. He's not suppose to be on the show, therefore he's going to "go about his business" and make it appear as nothing has changed in his life in the last couple of months. I really don't think he is in a position to tick off TPTB by being happy or being sad or making it appear he is or isn't the F1.

I can talk myself into circles trying to interpret Nick's posts. The one observation I am confident in is that he certainly has stepped up his posting since the filming has ended.

Does this mean he was in it to the end or does this mean he was given the green light to post more by TPTB...as part of a SM deception campaign? After the video fiasco, I'd imagine anything Nick does right now is under TPTB's scrutiny. Because of the secrecy of this season, I tend to think any SM clues are "tainted" clues.

It's fun nonetheless to watch you guys interpret the heck out them, but I'd be hesitant to use them to predict the season. I can think of a million reasons why Nick would be foolish to do so without TPTB's approval.

My on the beard, I can see it as clue for and against...so like the other SM clues, too ambiguous for me.

IA with you Emusha. This season is strange, yes, but social media has rarely been misleading in hindsight when comparing things like Whitney having "Wannabe Iowan " on her Twitter profile to that pic of Becca? "Wannabe Iowan " is as close to "I am F1" as I have seen for someone updating their Twitter profile (especially considering the heavy emphasis that CS had on Iowa: Mural date, MTP and Whit's LCD and FRC all in Iowa). No one told her not to have that on there and she was the spoiled F1. Didn't seem like any of TPTB cared at all - even after they said they stepped up their game for CS season.

Obviously hard to have 20-20 before knowing the end, but I just don't see his SM activity as definitively happy without me wearing my rose-colored Nick glasses since I really like him. If he is spoiled as F1, I won't doubt it at all and will see his SM activity as being misleading because of him being a return contestant, etc. No doubt it has been misleading at times.

The beard may or may not be a clue as to whether or not he is F1. However I see the beard as taking down Nick's normal haute couture look down a notch. I can't picture him looking his normal GQ self that I have grown accustomed to with that beard. Nick looks so hot in a suit clean shaven & I don't see it with the bearded look, JMHO.

I'm gonna try to find a valid reason to believe Nick isn't F1, for my personal enjoyment during the show, I'll try to "not-care" who is "the winner", since TPTB is spoiling everything anyway and RS will do it shortly on their behalf. So from now on:
1. SM activity - "read" it as a clue he is single (and ready to mingle again)
2. remember the last Bette season - and abide by rule n.1
3. any obscure or topless pic - bear in mind IT'S NOT a SH
4. enjoy his new bromance connections
5. imagine him having a fun "vacation" - and be happy it was filmed!
6. just hope Nick got the date with the Cranberries, if not - then that's the F1 guy and I'll have my answer. (too soon?)

Even though it's technically a secret that he's on the show, I still don't think the f1 would be posting to other guys and being so active. I guess we'll see when the show actually starts if he quiets down.
