For some reason the pages with all the SC's on them won't load for me. This makes me sad because I wanted to make new avatars tonight.

Sometimes if you quote the post with screencaps in it you can view those sc's. It also might be taking longer to load because so many people are on here today.

I originally thought that Ashley was only intimate with JP. But why would ben be so confident next week if nothing had happened. That doesn't make sense to me.

They had great times together and he fell in love with her - even with the closed mouth kisses. Not everyone has to sleep with someone to be in love with them.

You and ironcat are right. I just think it would be a little weird proposing to someone who you hadn't been intimate with. It seems like it would be a red flag. But there is the bachelor brainwash theory.

He probably should have kissed her toe. That would have won her over.

BTW, Michael Stag asked Holly to marry him upon meeting her 2 years ago at the MTA after party. It took a little longer to get the real ring and now it's a moot point because they broke up but it can happen. :-)

I think Ben just fell victim to the Bachelor Brainwash, and I'm also starting to suspect that the producers were telling him/assuring him that Ashley was crazy about him as well. Considering I'm not even sure they shared an open mouth kiss the whole time, there is no freaking way in the entire universe that she went from that to having sex with him. No. Freaking. Way.

After allowing Ali to let Chris go before LCDs last year, getting two proposals was probably mandatory for the producers this year and they were going to achieve that goal in any way possible.

That's why it's so absurd for people to think that anything even close would have happened w/Constantine even if he had stayed.

I think producers say a lot of suggestive things to the F2 and F3 to make them believe they are favored. They flat out lied to Reid to get him to come back with a ring in his pocket. This show depends on a choice between two people, if they can't convince at least one of the "losers" that s/he is going to be THE ONE engaged at the end of the show then that means a lot more work for their editors (gotta create some suspense for the audience).

They probably sometimes have to talk the F2 into playing along by promising a shot at the lead and perhaps guilt trips/head games too. Something like: "You don't want to embarrass her, you care about her right? She went through Hell to be here with you at the end, this is her dream. If you leave her heartbroken you'll be hated but if you propose and break up in a few months you'll have a long line of beautiful women who want to help you heal. And by heal I think you know what we mean."
