Re: Married At First Sight - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
If it is proved that the hundred dollar bill incident is staged by the producers, then the restraining order, and everything else will prove to be fake. I'm not thinking Jessica didn't hope for a break in her career, of course she would. It's her dream, but I really can't see her faking the fights with Ryan. he is so volatile . While on the jet ski, something serious could have happened to her. He was nuts from the get go. How could that enhance his career. Who would want to work with that? Many famous people have had their careers go into the toilet because of this kind of behavior. So I don't see where a wanna be would do this to promote himself.

Well, I believe that I read that their court date was July 13. I'm guessing that whatever happens there is going to shed some more light on the truth of the situation. Should be interesting.
Please note, all of the above is strictly my opinion

They may issue a gag order due to their somewhat "celebrity" status. Also, I believe if a permanent order is issued it will include SM not being used to attack the other person.
I only know this because a family member of mine was the victim of domestic violence (Never physical but verbal, emotional, she was stalked, etc.) and their spouse was not allowed to even make a reference to her on any SM.

Very interesting. One thing I do know is. I will not be watching season 3, or the new show with Jamie, and Doug. I guess they all signed up to further their careers. Courtney wanted her own make up line, Jason and his wrestling, Jamie with her career. Jessica wants doors open to acting. Doug, well, doug is doug.

Re: Married At First Sight - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
Because we have these "experts" front and center, it's easy to forget that they are actually just a part of the cast. As much as I LOATHE them right now, I have to admit, I really don't know how big a part they're really allowed to play.
It's not like the 4 of them met at some conference, got to chatting over drinks, and then *BAM* the idea for a show was born.
Rather they were either sought out by season 1's casting directors (interesting to note that the credited head of casting was different for season 2) -- OR, more likely, they actually AUDITIONED, themselves. Like - "got a call from THEIR agent/grabbed their own stapled headshot and resume/hauled azz to a nondescript building where they sat in a lobby 'red leather yellow leather'ing, surrounded by all the other 'experts' who they eventually beat out for the ROLE" - auditioned.
I've been a fan of Dr. Pepper, but it's pretty clear from IMDB that both she and Logan have been trying to get their TV careers off the ground for YEARS. As have Greg and Dr. Cilona (read his ridiculously inflated bio without laughing: I dare you ), they've just been less successful at it until now.
(Un?)Realistically, they probably have about as much to do with casting the couple as you or I do. Which sucks - because with season 1, it really SEEMED like they were in charge.
But MAYBE season 1 was just a happy fluke.
Casting could've easily matched Doug and Jamie because 'she's a princess type' who WOULD be HORRIFIED that he's not 'Prince Charming' (at first sight). I.e. He normally hides most of his moles/whatever with a really cute stubble - gonna guess some field producer told him there was a technical reason he had to shave it off for the day.
So what if casting didn't realize that Doug really was JUST THAT GREAT a person.
Then (and I"ll give the "experts" this) maybe these "experts" do have some actual knowledge and can be of actual help ONCE they're let into the process.
And maybe Doug is just extremely kind/patient, Jamie actually deep down DOES want help, and the "experts" - once allowed in - were able to give her the guidance she needed.
Plus - I've always thought Jamie was helped along by the fact that Doug gained a massive (massive for a new cable show, I know, but still) fan base like IMMEDIATELY. Less than 4 months from their wedding, and the whole world (at least the world she's paying attention to) is raving about what a great/hot/funny guy she has. That alone would've made her more infatuated with him.
I guess I'm thinking that Maybe they DIDN'T ruin season 2 by taking it in a different direction (rushed/scripted/etc.) because MAYBE season 1 was run/produced the exact same way!
MAYBE they never thought Doug/Jamie would be a good match - and were actually hoping for a dramatic explosion (a la the DeNino's). They just didn't count on him being that great/her being that malleable/etc... but they are, and they worked!, even though they weren't supposed to.
All in all, I'm taking the responsibility for this madness off the "experts" (or should I just say "cast"), and placing it squarely on the shoulder's of the (nameless, faceless - how nice for them) PRODUCERS. And I'm thinking they were probably planning to make trainwreck tv from day one.

I agree with you on 2 points:
1. I think you're right - it's a weird coincidence, but I think the $100 video IS a coincidence. The actual "plot line" of the video has absolutely nothing to do with wedding money/a romantic couple/taking money that's not yours/any of the "themes" of the $100 "plot" from MAFS.
It's just a guy stopping by his cousin's apt. to ask for $100 for a hooker.
2. "Attention Whore" isn't really a nice thing to say about someone I've never met. It is a judgement call. That's true.
I'll disagree with you here, though:
Modern vernacular obviously places much more emphasis on the "Attention" part of the phrase. It's not like I'm saying she's a hooker. I'm saying it's pretty clear she wants a LOT of attention, especially attention focused on her looks/sexuality, and I'm basing that solely on the pictures/videos SHE puts out for public consumption. That's all.
(and now I'm giggling cause this is reminding me a little of B explaining Bros Before Hos to Ramona last night )

Omg its getting hot in here. Anyways I also an not one to throw anyone under a bus here but im also not going to defend her like I know her and she is my best friend. I know almost nothing about her except what I see on tv and if you ask me, she seems vindictive ( she might not be but she did smash a watch out of anger or spite ) but that is how she comes off to me. Also she still is a person and gives nobody (his friends) the right to call her names on social meadia or for mr denino to threaten her. Everyone has there own opinions though.

Re: Married At First Sight - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
Smashing the watch and throwing the hundred dollar bill at him would be two things that I wouldn't do even when I was her age. She does seem like a girl from the "hood," so to speak. However, both of these events could have been staged by production. Maybe, the watch smashing was filmed but cut from the scenes. How did she get into his apartment without him being there anyway? He doesn't seem like the type that would give her a key to his place, especially if he was seeing other girls.
JUST MY OPINION, FOLKS!!

Re: Married At First Sight - Season 2 - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
I've worked with too many abused victims, so I think I'm extra sensitive about how an alleged victim is treated, and described. Seen too much up close. I too think Jessica is a girl from 'the hood' for a lack of a better term...and her reactions to him cheating by smashing the watch wasn't good, but then again, I've known some pretty wealthy individuals that smashing a watch would have been the least of what they would have done. Not making it right, just saying that when cheating is involved, emotions get the better of people. I think the card was found in the apartment they shared. It wasn't really clear.
