Ben Higgins - Bachelorette 11 - *Spoilers - Sleuthing* - Discussion

Kupah is 32 yrs old. Ben is 26 yrs old. I would take a 26 yr old Ben as a lead any day.

If he were the lead, he would be 27yrs old by the time the season finished airing. Engaged for 1 yr? he would be 28/29yrs old. I think Ben is way more mature than some 30 something year olds they cast on this show.

He handled the classroom perfectly which I'm sure tied it in with his involvement in the Youth Home.

He seems like such an all around great guy!

ITA. After watching last night's episode, Ben H seemed the most normal and mature of the bunch. Honestly think he is too normal for this show -- that's how much he stands out to me. He has a way of making things appear fresh and classy - no matter the circumstance.

If TPTB are not considering him as lead they are doing themselves a disservice, IMO. Ben seems like a real gentleman and from what has been shown thus far and on the season promo, he is taking the process seriously, is not a part of the drama, and is just a sweet, old-school romantic, nice guy.

I'd definitely watch if he was lead. :Nod:

Ben was seriously great at the elementary sex ed and I absolutely loved that roof top scene. He really brought the romance, dipping Kaitlyn for a kiss! And he has a sense of humor too!!! He started the group jokes in the outtake scene about Joe's anatomy. Great Guy!!!!

Ben scored big last night!!! Everyone I talk to, every where I read....he is a favorite.

It was his calming funny approach to a very uncomfortable situation that stood out. It's like when some one has to speak in front of a crowd, you just know when that person is comfortable, or is sweating bullets.

It was a piece of cake for him. Such a natural!

He is going to be a great dad and husband. I'm interested to see what went wrong for him and Kaitlyn. I definitely feel the chemistry between them.

I'm not completely sold on him but liked him a lot last night.

Love this. I'm liking Ben H. more and more. He just seems laid back, funny and sincere.

Ben really has a gift for personalizing things and connecting with people. Loved how he talked about things he is passionate about - working with the undeserved. It felt like he is the only person on the show I actually know some personal things about that are not relating to tragedy or being a father (nothing wrong with those, but they are recycled a lot on this franchise).

Best part of the episode was when Ben taught Sex-Ed and said "your mommy and daddy fell in love" and that when he is a dad, he would talk to his kids about the spiritual and physical connection in relationships. He took a show that was, literally and figuratively, in the toilet (diapers and snakes in the toilet ) and  made something that was icky, endearing  

The way in which he conducted himself and talked to the children and about being a dad... if I was a kid and had to choose a dad, Ben would be a great one. He comes across much more ready for kids and family life than the last Bachelor lead, CS, who is older than him.

I feel like he's too "nice" for her. She just strikes me as someone who usually goes with someone with a bit more edge.

I personally think that he would make a great Bachelor! He's definitely the best-looking, by far, and he seems pretty sincere in wanting a wife and children. I do worry that he's too young, since most Bachelors, besides Andrew and Jesse, have been 29+. I'm excited to see more of him.
