Britt Nilsson - Bachelorette 11 - Discussion

Wow! That was intense. Love her honesty, IMO I feel she speaks
for all of us to some degree. Our words do project our pain. If you
talk long enough the subconscious surfaces to the conscience.
No doubt her faith has helped. Love Britt always have.

I appreciate her honesty as well and I found myself nodding my head at a lot of what she said. I don't bother with most of these folks blogs but she's willing to talk about topics that aren't so safe and comfortable so I tend to enjoy hers. I like her a lot. She's different in a good way.

I just find her self-involved. I did during the Bachelor and these long essays about herself and her looks and her self-doubt and what others think of her haven't done much to change my opinion. Just live your life and stop obsessing about what other people think of you! Instead of doing that she's now taking comfort in the idea that God loves her no matter what. Still seeking acceptance, just from a supreme being. I don't think it's healthy, but if it works for her then great. I have my doubts though. Therapy might be more useful.

IMO, she need professional help. She has identified time and time again, she has issues. She needs a qualified therapist.

Possibly, don't we all? That's the point.

I do think the blog posts are a bit excessive and long, and I'm not a fan of over sharing on the internet. It reminds me of those people on Facebook that write long essays of personal depressing stuff. I couldn't finish the blog post, it was too depressing. I believe in God, but sometimes I think people depend too much that God is going to solve all their problems. I do relate to her insecurities to an extent, and I still like her though.

Having issues is not to be equated with needing psychiatric help or even counseling. JMOAA
I think we all have issues as human beings. I don't think we all have psychiatric issues or require help, IMO. Though a lot of us could use it.   As far as counseling goes, it would probably benefit most of it at certain times of our lives. JMOAA

Even if she does have issues (and I agree that many of us do at varying degrees), I think it's very brave of 
her to share them and talk about it openly. It's easy to share only the pretty, social media acceptable parts of our lives.
