70 strong cast and crew -  that would be hard to hide without hush money!

It is possible that Ireland Tourism, who would have bid for the privilege of having the B-ette film there put up a big number to induce tptb to choose 3 weeks of filming in Ireland. Of course, it save them (tptb) considerable travel costs. But 3 weeks of travelogue will be good for Ireland. And Sophienette has said the weather was great- so many will be booking their visits in the months/years ahead.

Whatever Ireland Tourism (actually called Failte Ireland - failte means Welcome) paid, they are going to get value for money! 3 weeks in sunny spring in the west coast of Ireland... they should have some pretty fabulous shots!

On a side note, Ireland has suffered economically over the last 8 years (my house value decreased by 30% in last 8 years...), an increase of tourism will be very welcome!

^^Perhaps they hired local film crew to support the filming on location.  Certainly the hiring of transportation, hotel/lodging, meals, paying for venues etc. helped the local economy a bit.  But 2-3 episodes on the bachelorette will be a great promotion for tourism.

I know when they were in NZ for Jason's season they did use some local crew.

In Vancouver if an American crew come into film and say they bring in their own camera person they still have to pay for a Canadian camera person, even if they don't use them, they are there everyday of shooting. They also usual local PA's as well, maybe not Producer or Director assistants. So it could be the same in other countries.

We actually don't know for sure. Either is possible. It's just that he arrived in San Antonio at the same time as the others so it makes sense they all flew from NY. Like AL said, the RC cocktail party.  I do think Kaitlyn told the guys about Nick before he joined so they could opt to leave and he wouldn't walk in like Jordan had to.  I think Kaitlyn would own her decision. 

AL, yep maybe BIP.  I doubt if checking SM will help.  For instance possible people like either Ashley from Chris' season. It is early though but I still think it's another possible reason.

I was wondering if the reason some of the guys are together in LA was for some minor filming that will be used for the MTN. It could be as simple as that.

I was in Malibu on Saturday and drove past the mansion around 3 or 4pm.  Coming north on Kanan Rd you get a good look at the place before coming upon it.  It did not appear that anyone was there.  No lights set up, no one lounging in the patio/pool area, although it was a bit chilly then.  When I got to the driveway, the wooden gate to the driveway was closed.  No security that I could see.  If I had to guess, I would say they were not staying there if in LA.
I saw DWTS last night and the guys I saw from Andi's season were Patrick and Andrew. I mentioned in another thread that I guess they got to go since they are LA locals. I was hoping for Dylan and Brian, especially since I didn't think Chris was friends with the other two. I didn't see anyone else I recognized.
Lastly, I am thrilled to see three weeks of Ireland coming to my tv in a month or so. Can't wait.

^^Good info pavalygurl!  That is another piece of the puzzle, they are not at the mansion now during the HTD week it appears.
