Posters said the same thing about Brook.  They swore that Brook didn't realize he was in love with Des.

Brooks NEVER say he was fallin for Des. Not once.

You're right he didn't.  But his fan favorite posters swore up and down that the reason he didn't tell Des that he was in love with her was because he didn't realize that he was in love with her.
