In the meantime, Whitney got two more GD Roses yet we didn't see their time together on either date. I wonder why they had to leave that on the cutting room floor? Too obvious?

Well... Episode 5 at least. You raised a good point. When scenes are cut, does that mean the connection is too obvious? Apparently a few supporters of Becca as F1 think so, since she clocked in about as much screentime in the early episodes as Samantha and Trina. Also both the wedding crash and Becca's first scene post-limo with him in episode 3 were shot in very dark areas where you can't read the facial expressions easily. Fans of either contestant can use that as ammunition.

Every season, the argument is the same. Is there "something" they are hiding or is there "nothing" but the editors WANT us to think there is?

One good thing for Whitney fans is that her cut scenes in episodes 4 and 5 were put online as abc.com extras: the garter belt toss and her cute "checklist" speech. I recall them doing that with F1 Josh in at least one episode.

The only episode in which she seemed especially hidden was 6, when her most important PI sessions were sob scenes involving Britt on the Big & Rich date. Unlike Kaitlyn that episode, Chris did not sit down with her and tell her to focus "on what we have" instead of what he was doing with others. Of course, both Kait and Whit still had teary scenes... so I'm not sure it all "sunk in" with the former. Yet he seemed to be ignoring Whit, while Becca at least had a solo date and didn't have to be bothered with the Britt business.

Another ball we can toss in Whitney's court is that both of her solo dates pre-hometowns were longer and "meatier" than Becca's, which would combine together and might still have less minutes of footage than Whit's Des Moines date solo. In fact, Becca's second date seemed like a "quickie toss-in" just before the main Britt Drama in the next ceremony.

I said this before. Even though I am struggling with both finalists, I also know how crafty the editors are in hiding the "love story". After he gives the ring to his choice, we will get a montage of footage we were denied earlier... all with more "heat".

It is rather fun reading all of the posts at this time... with Whitney and Becca now on "scales" with pebbles added to each. It is as if everybody will be OK at the end of this regardless of the outcome (unless he dumps both and goes after his dumped Canadian... even if I "wuv" it). Yet the "closeness" of this competition is KILLING us all.

To keep things in perspective, he said the same thing when Des's brother said "RS got it wrong" and was even saying it 10 minutes before the show ended, saying that Brooks would propose at the AFRC.

No, I agree. I'm just saying that him posting "nothing has changed" doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean that he's right or wrong, since he's said that for every single season (except Ali and Brad). I actually do think he's right, but hoping he's not!
