Bachelor 19 - Chris Soules - Episode 9 - *Spoilers & Sleuthing* -

Forgive if this has been mentioned. I totally feel like - upon watching the Chris and Becca ITM's - that I was watching a bad play. He was sweaty at the table, miraculously dry in ITM's, back to table, sweaty, and so on. So, definitely not pulled away at that time to film those - or given a dry shirt  to do so? If so, they had to dry him off each time. Her hair. Puffed around the back in all the real-time scenes, flat in the ITM's. The beach walk. She is a beautiful girl, but what was with that? Staged, in my opinion. And Chris' deliberation at the end, where he has his head turned slightly, supposed to be considering his future with Becca? Fake, fake, fake. Too dramatic. Cameras stayed on him too long. Yes, I believe he felt those things for Becca. I believed in and felt his pain and indecisions with the other ladies. I have never been 100% sure the spoilers were wrong, but this stuff was set up after the fact. To lead us where they wanted us to go? Two things stood out to me. Heartbroken Becca would have never agreed to this acting. Chris can't act and hold it long - though he's good at hamming, like on Jimmy Kimmel. Drama, not so much. So...Becca is not heartbroken at the time of filming this. Was Becca heartbroken ever? I also feel like there was important editing on the table conversation. He looks happy at one point, reassured, then all of a sudden worried again - even before she says anything negative. It didn't seem to flow to me. I'm trying to be objective.

Granted, we have seen glimpses of her upset with his mom. We have seen no footage whatsoever in any of the earliest ABC promos of Whitney at the farm. Has anyone? I missed the first hour because my DVR didn't pick it up, so maybe I missed something at the beginning of this episode? I've gone back and looked through all the early promos, commercials. Becca is hidden throughout. The only way we know it is her is because we recognize the scenes from dates or 1-on-1 times. At the risk of bringing up necklace-gate, he's got to know that her continuing to wear that necklace means something. She's still wearing it after the show ends, right? I am making no conclusions now, because ABC is taking us on a ride, and I want to go along. But this seems crystal clear to me. ITM's not filmed when they were at table, and the beach walk was staged. All my opinion, no facts to back it up.

It was established somewhere in here that there are two necklaces that look very much alike. The one that Chris gave her for her birthday and another, similar necklace that I believe a friend gave her. From what I remember, these days she is wearing the necklace that her friend gave her. I hope someone else will correct me if I have the facts wrong.

To me, they both want marriage, just hadn't found the right one before. Now they have and I can see them getting a quick wedding.

I think it is quite interesting that TBTP managed to hide the connection Becca had with Chris up until now, some people think it came out of nowhere that Chris is this invested in her but some of us saw this develop over the episodes.

I still maintain that Becca will be his F1, however if she is not where he needs her to be with her feelings for him i can also see her as his F2. At this point, the ball is in Becca's court because she is surely the one he is most interested in.
I believe if he got from her what he has gotten from Whitney and Kaithlyn, it would an easy choice for him with Becca as F1.
I am however not going to say Whitney is his default choice if she ends up being F1. after all this is a unique experience where he has 3 solid women he can have different types of life with. And in life, your choice may not necessarily be the best for you (case in point Jason and Melissa) hence the many break ups we experience in life.
It will be very interesting to see how this all unfolds.
I hope Whitney can draw her strength from Molly's situation or even Chris Sieg( I never doubted Des would end up with him btw) if she ends up being his F1 and not pay any mind to all the Becca chase he has been doing.

I know that we are getting the edited version. However, the chemistry between Chris and Becca is through the roof. Whereas Whitney is doing all the talking, and trying to convince Chris....blah, blah, blah...
IMO, Chris and Becca go together very well. They look natural together.
With Whitney, it seems a bit forced and as though Chris is "settling".

I feel like we are watching Chris trying to do what is the "practical" way to go (Whitney), and against what his HEART is  saying (Becca). The heart wants what the heart wants.

I actually feel badly for Whitney, because I feel that she'll be in a situation where she'll be more in love with Chris than he is with her. She deserves better.

Des and Brooks was the infatuation just like Chris and Whitney vs Chris and Des had that deep love intertwined that you can miss if you don't look at the details just like Chris and Becca. It also remind of April and Tim canada, We' ll see!!
I love Beccas, she is a great exemple of strenght and I think she is the one Chris can't live without. So if Chris picks Whit, he will do a mesnick, just like Des would have done if Brooks had stayed and she picked him. It was always going to be Chris for Des, and it is always going to be Becca for Chris. We will see.

We can debate the Des/Brooks/Chris season until the cows come home (fitting for Prince Farming don't you think ) and I don't think anybody will change their mind about that season. Does anybody know for sure what would have happened had Brooks not left? I don't think so. My point in bringing them up is it was quite a turn around for Des to go from the break up with Brooks and then accept Chris' proposal. Leads change their mind, get confused and hopefully make a good decision in the end. It all worked out in that Des and Brooks and Chris are happy now so  

I think Whit and Becca are both great girls and Chris will be lucky to have either one of them. TPTB always mess with us. Lead us down a path that isn't real, show certain scenes and not others, put quotes in places they don't belong....we all know this.   Nothing would surprise me or the extent that they will go to to bring drama. I think Chris could "live" without either one of them and in the end maybe both of them will leave. Sounds like he is in love now and it is probably with either Whit or Becca. It is Chris' decision so we shall see.....

Disappointed in Whitney's willingness to blow off her career and just move to the farm. I still think she will be F1 but I can't see it lasting unless they really edited it and there was or will be some conversation about a compromise where she would continue her career.  I still like Whit so oddly, while I think she will be F1,  I actually hope it doesn't last- that once out of the bubble she will come to her senses and break it off.

I just can't get aboard the Becca love train- probably a minority of one here- but there is something very off about her. Her family outs her as frigid- argue editing all you want, as Kiptyn said, they can't broadcast it if you don't say it, and the family clearly said she is not an intimate person, and were shocked that she would *gasp* hold hands with a man. Becca herself said she does not like PDA even around her family.  So she goes on a show for PDA to be on national television? I just don't get it. Did she go on the show as a form of therapy to overcome her dislike for intimacy and PDA?  Is the whole I am a virgin and I don't kiss on the first date an act? Is it realistic that after about 10 to 15 hours with  CS her distaste for  intimacy and PDA  was magically cured? IDK.

If Becca is F1, IMO the puppy love will fizzle out in time.

So I'm not seeing a wedding coming out of this season.  

KB I agree with a lot of what you said but....first of all I'm not sure Whit does give up her career but people make sacrifices all the time to be with the person they love. It's ok if people choose to become a wife and have kids and never decide to have a job/career outside of the home, I also think it's great if Whit decides she wants to focus on a marriage and kids if that's what makes her happy. And who's to say she doesn't take a break from work and go back to it at some point. I see lots of compromises coming out of this relationship and Chris has indicated that he is willing to make changes too.

I may have but I see a wedding coming out of this. JMO

That's the great thing about nursing, there are lots of different options and job security. Sometimes you need to be willing to try different kinds of nursing and be trained in a different area. Whitney strikes me as someone good at her job and could pursue lots of options. I grew up in Cedar Rapids and there are a number of hospitals there. Maybe they would live somewhere besides Arlington and Chris would travel home part of the time for work.

Whitney is a good mix of sugar and spice, and he admires her, etc, etc.

Parent clip saying CS wants Becca...spliced...probably said "we are not sure if Becca is in love with Becca.....but Chris wants Becca."  I don't believe any of the editing tricks.  They needed to play up Becca tonight to try to level the playing field.

Don't get me wrong. He likes Becca, admires, respects, and is attracted to her. But she is never goig to catch up in 2 weeks time, she just won't be certain and she has too much class to lie to him or herself.  Becca, to me, is morally sound and sweet, 2 things that are important to him, but a bit boring and naive.  I think whitney is able to make CS more animated and joyful. Becca is too similar to him in personality and energy level. I think whitney is more at his maturity and life experience level.

In summary.....Bali is hot and humid, monkeys bite, and Whitney will be F1. Jmhoaa.

I agree that the show usually uses the family/parents to indicate they want the F2 as F1. It's just fake drama as usual.
