Bachelor 19 - Chris Soules - Episode 8 - Monday Feb 16 - *Spoilers & Sleuthing* - Discussion

Becca had different nail polish (white) on in the "Becca is back" picture with her sisters.  On the HTD, her nail polish was dark.  She is wearing the same red top though.  In the pic with her sisters, she has what looks to be a black camisole under her top.  I am still confused as to why she would be wearing the necklace that Chris gave her the day after she supposedly was dumped.   Maybe someone can bring the pics over for comparison.

OVERNIGHT DATES IN EXOTIC BALI, ON ABC’S “THE BACHELOR”

“Episode 1909” – Romantic adventures await Chris and the final three bachelorettes – Becca, Kaitlyn and Whitney – as they travel to beautiful Bali. From traditional Balinese rituals to a long languid boat ride across the Indian Ocean to a visit to a Balinese medicine man, the dates are filled with passion and excitement as Chris continues to explore what his future might be like with each of these potential mates. At the end of the evening, Chris will present each bachelorette with an invitation to spend an intimate night together in the “fantasy suite,” with the hope that she will accept. But will she? When will Becca reveal her secret to Chris and will that make a difference in whether she consents to a trip to the “fantasy suite?” Chris is left with a very difficult decision, and he must weigh his priorities before choosing the final two women and sending the other rejected bachelorette home in tears, on “The Bachelor,“ MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.



Chris meets Kaitlyn outside a beautiful temple on the streets of Bali. The couple joins some local people in a traditional Balinese ritual. Kaitlyn aches to tell Chris her innermost feelings, but it isn’t until later that night at a steamy outdoor dinner that she summons the courage to share her deep emotions, despite her fears of being hurt. Will her moving disclosure result in the ending she desires or is this too little, too late?



                 Chris and Whitney enjoy a sensual boat ride on the Indian Ocean. They discuss her sister’s disapproval of their relationship. Will they be able to avoid this obstruction thrown in their path to love? At a romantic dinner under the stars Chris has some tough questions for Whitney. Is she going to be willing to give up her successful career in Chicago to move to tiny Arlington, Iowa? The moment of truth has arrived. Will Whitney have second thoughts about their future – and the fantasy suite?



                 On the final date of the week, Chris and Becca visit a Balinese medicine man, where they are able to ask questions about their relationship and their future. Their carefree day belies Becca’s pressing situation. She has yet to tell Chris she is a virgin and it’s almost time for the fantasy suite card. The couple meets for dinner, and Chris needs to find out if Becca is ready to give up her Southern Californian lifestyle and move across the country to a live on his sprawling farm. And what will happen in the fantasy suite - or will Becca not accept the invitation?



                 More torn than ever, Chris admits he is falling in love with each one of them. At the rose ceremony, Chris pulls one bachelorette aside to clear the air before he decides on the final two women. Will he end up with the lady of his dreams and will she be willing to pack up and move to the farm to be his wife?

I don't know how to post pics, but I went back and looked and I see what you mean. The HTD pics clearly show her wearing black nail polish, but the pic with her older sister clearly shows her with white nail polish. Thanks for the info!

Becca is back is apparently the day after the FRC, she is wearing the red top and necklace. The HTD she had on the same red top. (After much sleuthing)

During epi night it was discovered, while wearing that red top, she didn't have a necklace on during her ITM's/part of the date, but later in the date she did, along with bracelets. Comparing the pics again, between Becca is Back and epi s/caps, after much sleuthing, along with Chris confirming, he gave her a necklace/bracelets gift for her b/day, it's the same necklace.

So yes, it appears she wore the necklace/bracelets the day after the FRC.

I finally watched this episode. I can't believe that Becca gets 4 minutes of her date. Then they focus on Britt/the other girls. While I think Carly's ITM's were snipped to make Britt look like the victim, it also made me wonder that ALL of the girls were talking about Britt before the rose ceremony and during the time that Britt and Chris were talking. I understand that all of the girls were jealous of her and thus why I think they banded together to be friends. I did see the whole "5 minutes one way, then 5 minutes another way" with Britt though. Either way, even if she was F1, I dont see her in Arlington and she should count her stars that she was let go.

I love love love Kaitlyn. And Whitney. She can be over the top and it would be so heartbreaking if she was not F1 because out of the four, she seems the most smitten with him. Jade is such a sweetheart. If she had not done playboy, I think she would have been F2 IMO instead of Becca (based on what we've seen).

Don't traditionally the lead and his/her F1 arrive back home a few days after the FRC? Is this because they are usually on an island and have to fly back? They both could've been driven back home. Or, maybe, do you think Becca/Whitney both go home the day after the FRC, one engaged, the other, not? Wouldn't Chris want to spend more time with his fiancee (more than just a night, especially if they are to be separated for 4 months?) My head is spinning.

usually yes the final couple hang out for a couple days after the FRC to enjoy being newly engaged. Although that's been thrown out the window this season imo because Chris himself said he was back at work the day after shooting wrapped up

I still think it's odd if Becca is the one he pulls aside at the FS rose ceremony unless she isn't the last FS date.  If she is, then why pull her aside and cause tension for the other girls when they had the night before to discuss what needed to be discussed.
If the one he pulls aside was from the first or second date that makes more sense to me. 

I still think, if it is Becca, it could be for someone to inform her of her grandmother's passing. Or was the death before her date?  Or after returning to Iowa? 

How weird to return to the US after this RC.  That means the F3 flies back with Chris and the final 2 girls.  Uncomfortable.

^^ notarose, generally the lead and the girls are all separated from one another at this juncture. So, while it would be awkward for them to travel together, I don't think that they did.

If Whitney is the F1 as we suspect, there is no reason why she couldn't have stayed with Chris and hung out with the family, getting to know them better while he was working during the day and then they spent the evenings together. We know she craves having a family and I'm sure his would have made her feel very welcome.

We know Becca left, but we have no info on where Whitney was after the FRC. It would have been no problem for her to drive to Chicago after a few days...or longer.

My thinking is whomever is the F1 has been having meet ups at his farm in Iowa. No other way to submersed in real life than to be on the isolated Iowa farm in winter.
