If as CH said, Chris wore his heart on his sleeve, they have to redirect. Who else is there to redirect with so far other than Britt who he was initially very attracted to? Later, after the date with Becca, I suspect it will be with her.

I also noticed, in the candid shots we got from fans while that was date was filming, as he was walking out of the bar, Whitney was the one he was walking with and in one of them she looked like she had her arm through his...staking her claim so to speak. I bet they told him to spread the love around during the evening portion of the date. Redirect. Redirect. Redirect.

So they left the girls sitting there while Chris and Britt went to the Big and Rich "concert". That is awkward. Not good judgement on Chris's behalf. I don't blame the girls for being upset.

Giving Britt the rose after their 1 on 1 is not a good thing for the other girls: it sends a very clear message about who is number one in his mind.
Des was all wrapped up with Brooks but I don't think that she had any "in your face" moments in front of the other guys. We knew, Chris Harrison knew, but I don't think the other guys knew how she felt.

I hope he felt bad about it and did something to make up for it.
Does anyone know the date order?

I think a comment like that would be more telling if people suspected she was F1, but the fact that she left before HTD's and FD's (which is where they find out the most about each other) to me, just means that she probably only mentioned being a waitress as a temporary thing, so where she worked is incidental.

One thing to remember is that Britt will leave soon- so either she can't take the wrath of the other women anymore or her "others have more of a relationship with you" is because she really doesn't care that much for him (and has been acting as we all suspect).... and so feels it time that she shouldn't cloud the issue any longer. Often when someone excuses themselves early, it is only with the "blessing" or encouragement of tptb to move the story along.

Truthfully, Chris really hasn't moved beyond "attraction" with anyone yet- like going on a bunch of first dates. Though he's doing an awful lot of kissing, he hasn't built a relationship with anyone. As far as jealously during this "time in between" between the end of filming and the revelation of the result, it will survive as long as f1 has taken the attitude that Catherine Lowe had- he's not mine until I'm the last one. And if you can't bear to watch, don't. In this case, they've already seen him kissing a lot of the other girls so it's not exactly a secret that he has been.

If music is the food of love, Chris Soules is eating country-fried chicken.

The farmer in the market for love on The Bachelor has already given this season's ladies a taste of his down-home lifestyle during mud runs and tractor races, and Monday's episode sees him plan a songwriting group date in Deadwood, South Dakota.

"Country music is a big part of my life," Soules, 33, tells the women. "I love country music, and today we're going to write a few songs."

Country duo Big & Rich make an appearance to "vet" the girls for Soules, 33, and John Rich admits that "Chris Soules is in quite a predicament" as he chooses just one lady as his potential future wife.

For all his praise for the ladies, Rich has a little friendly ribbing for the Bachelor: "Chris, being a farm boy from Iowa is not wearing farm-boy-from-Iowa boots or nails. So maybe there's a little rock star gene in Chris after all."

Though cruise ship singer Carly, 29, is clearly excited to take on this challenge, not everyone is ready to show off her pipes. Fertility nurse Whitney, 29, is especially concerned and speaks about the task as if it were at the start line of the Iron Man competition: "I'm going to really have to, like, push through today."

The tone-deaf bachelorettes in the group soon find comfort, though, when Soules steps to the stage and promises to "show these girls how it's not done." Let's just say he isn't underestimating his talent.

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

Let's just think about this a moment: Britt leaves before the HTD - TPTB probably already know that Britt is thinking about leaving by this episode. They need to play up Britt now so that they can have the typical "The one the Lead wants is walking out" story line. Ash/Bentley, Ali/Frank, Des/Brooks, JP/Sharleen - in all four of these cases we found out after the fact that the one that left had known for a while that they wanted to go. IMO, TPTB are just setting us up for Chris having to rebound and "Who will he rebound with?"

. It will be interesting to see what his reaction is to her leaving. It might be all "that's just how the tumbleweed tumbles".

Exactly IA which is a horrible story line for the F1 to deal with. Hopefully Chris and his F1 are secure in their relationship where it won't matter going forward.

Shades of Meanna when Graham wanted to leave, except they forced him into the RC and let Meanna eliminate him. Once he left the rest of the season was a trainwreck. Wonder if this season will end up like that too?

I am sure it will increase his insecurities...as it is meant to...and as a result, I'm not sure that we will see his real reaction.

I have sensed a loss of interest in Britt for the last little while. Producers know she wants out so they give her the balloon date to reel him in again, and then encourage the special quality time. It brings her back to the forefront of the viewers minds as someone who he has a really strong connection to and helps ramp up Chris' reaction. No doubt there will be tears. We already know about her crying audition at the curb. He is a soft touch, and he I expect he will be shedding a few tears of his own....more because of insecurity vs. really thinking she was the one. Shades of Ashley and Bentley all over again.

OK. I just watched that preview and I'm sorry but, I am not buying that. Yes, he is attracted to her and she plays that for all it's worth...no doubt "encouraged" by producers for her audition reel. But, I watched when he came back after giving Britt the rose, he is coming in looking all apologetic and not that happy to me. A little over the top for me, but, he is looking at someone and his eyes look like they are pleading for understanding and forgiveness. Yeah, he doesn't want to deal with the others, but he doesn't look happy and neither does she. The others going on about how they are upset and how Britt was over the moon, lots of producer shenanigans here IMO.

I don't think Britt was #1 either. He is attracted to her but I don't see any depth there. This LA girl would never move to Iowa and that was pretty clear from day #1....I think Chris knows that too. Even though she did say she wants...like...100 kids. cantstopl
