In all fairness, I have a fear of heights to the point where I experience a little vertigo. For example, I was afraid/uncomfortable going out on our balcony when we stayed on the 26th floor during a vacation. I did it, but I always stayed far from the railing and always felt fear in my body. I've ridden in a hot air balloon twice. Neither time did I experience this fear or dizziness. It really is very, very different. I can't explain it. It doesn't feel the same at all. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she thought they were going to have an adrenaline date -- bungee jumping over a canyon perhaps. That would terrify me.

Lita I am afraid of heights too and have virtigo. I swear I can feel buildings sway when I am too high up. I admire her and you for going up in a balloon if you are afraid of heights.

I have to chime in on the shower/no shower convo.  When I took early retirement I decided during the winter to do an experiment. I didn't take a bath or shower everyday(only showered If I was leaving the house) .  I took what I like to call a Ho bath.  I washed my face,feet,the pits, the tatas and my lady parts. It was tough in the beginning as I was a 1 maybe 2 showers a day taker but I have to tell ya my skin wasn't as dry and neither was my hair.

We've become so spoiled.  Back in the day they took one bath a week, usually on Saturday so you would  be clean for church and you better hope you were one of the oldest kids because the whole family used the same bath water.
