they use those filler lights to control the shadows on things like people's faces etc. If you've ever taken a picture of people with the sun behind them you might have noticed that the faces come out very dark, so it's a good idea to use a filler flash or something like that to illuminate the people's faces. This is pretty much what they do with the lights, they don't want the foreground in shadow. As for why their lights are so far away, I can only guess.. they are definitely very strong lights, and they don't want the light they are adding to be too strong, so moving them far away will diffuse the light somewhat and make it softer. But, I was surprised at how far away the crew was in that shot, and the fact that they are in the shot makes me think that they weren't expecting to be filming in that direction at that moment, which makes me think that the guy who is walking away did it suddenly and not according to plan.

In any case, I'm sure they have several places where there are lights set up, on both sides of the camera, etc.. the ones we see in the screencaps is just one of the setups that are at the filming site.

success it took a while but made it . still havent found the thread that had all the exchange between JP and Ash it was at the meet and greet and Ash says to Jp i wont call you Cupcake if you call me cupcake . and that her husband is going to call her cupcake , it sounds like a proposal to me .

Ashley was careful in her wording in this moment. Without seeing the clip on youtube, I distinctly remember her saying something to the effect that she doesn't know if it will be JP who gets to call her cupcake. Her comments would not constitute a proposal the way she delivered them. However, this was really early on and maybe the very first connection we saw between them.

Let's put it this way - if she had to do that scene over again, I bet it would come out differently. Now I believe JP is and will be calling her cupcake!

yes, though there's definitely a different "look" to the different kinds of shadows.. and you can try to figure out which direction the shadows are coming from to help determine whether they are from the sun or from artificial lighting. But the sun shadows will usually look much stronger than the ones from the lights, because the sunlight is so much stronger.

But it definitely adds another piece to the puzzle! Just more for us to debate and decipher!
