I hope for Whit it is good. He is just very unimpressive so far.

The Machine won't let them break up until after the Finale anyway, so how about April? Weather should be ok by then.

I do believe he really did fall head over heels with Britt from the start. I don't think it was an act. He even blubbered on about how gorgeous she is. We shall see how much more crazy he gets with her. But if we know she leaves, it just reminds me of other season, well a lot of other seasons where someone always leaves. Different reasons, same script.

April sounds good. I should have finished experiments and be writing by then with my mentor making fun of me so yeah, Chicago sounds good.

Now if Chris redeems himself and actually seems worthy we can sight see and still maybe find Nick.

Stuck-since I find your writing to be very articulate, while we're in Chicago playing Cupid, I'll be your "your writing is great" cheerleader to balance out the mentor. (Just know I suck at science).

I still hope against hope that Chris redeems himself but he already seems to have dug a deep hole to climb out of and we're only two episodes in.

TPTB have gone this route several times: Ali/Frank, Des/Brooks, JP/Sharleen. It really shouldn't surprises us. I'm sure producers fed Chris with "She's really into you" to make sure he fell hard and then yanked Britt out of there at the right moment. I remember hearing Frank, Brooks AND Sharleen all wanted to leave much soon than they were allowed to go.

I can recall very few seasons since Ali left Jake that they haven't used this plot. Some I think we're genuine front runners who bowed out, sometimes just drama or next lead showcasing.

Either way, it almost always happens.

There are many weeks to see a slower burn develop between Chris and Becca and Whitney. I won't feel F1 got jipped until I see the whole thing play out. After all the crud I heard CH spew about Ashley loving Bentley while I was watching her and JP so clearly and obviously fall in love, it makes it as likely to me that by HTDs, Chris will be so obvious with where his heart has fallen, they are going to spend the whole season building the smokescreen of Britt to distract from it.

I think her leaving will be a combo of Chris' interest waning, the show highlighting her as potential next lead, and her actually not being that into him.

Maybe that's not the case. Look at Ashley and Bentley!

We have barely seen 2 episodes. Chris is enjoying himself, but at the same time, I think he is serious about finding someone. Once he gets to know everyone, who knows what will happen? I do think Britt is a smokescreen. He is momentarily blinded ... remember Sean and Tiarra? Let's not forget the mural and how Whitney was introduced to his friends. Man looked pretty happy and he is telling anyone who will listen that he is in love. I have feeling, he might be a blubbering mess at the proposal.

Hope for Whitney's sake you all are right. I know of CH's deceptions and all the other crap that TPTB does. It is Chris's actions that bug me, and I don't like what I have seen so far. But I hope I am wrong. His wishy washy attitude will probably improve, but right now the only one his own actions show him being really excited about is Britt. That can change over time.

We will see.

I'm not ready to write off the whole season after just 2 episodes. Chris is obviously attracted to Britt and she is doing everything she can to feed that attraction (wants as much camera time as possible IMO, and was probably already promised the Bachelorette by producers), but I'll be surprised if he is really dumb enough to think, once they start having some real "lifestyle" discussions, that a young, aspiring Hollywood actress is going to be happy giving it all up to be a farmer's wife. Unless of course she never tells him what she really is all about.

The bolded. Yes, he is all giddy with the overabundance of goodies in front of him...many of whom are only talking the talk to get themselves out there, but, once he actually starts thinking, I think things change. I just read this interview and it basically alludes to this.
