Really happy for Des and Chris, genuinely sweet people. And Molly is a bridesmaid--how cool. Just shows how this network has worked well for some. I look forward to seeing the photos and Des own designer gown!

The Bachelorette’s Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are getting married this winter! So we got the scoop from the former reality tv star-turned bridal fashion designer on all the details from their style to how they split up wedding planning responsibilities. Read on for the details you haven’t heard about their wedding planning yet.

1. Even though I work in the bridal business, I needed help. “Being in the industry actually made planning more difficult—you know too much. Our planner, Steven Moore of Sinclair & Moore Events, has helped me get started by sharing his knowledge of flowers and what will work best for my vision,” says

2. Our guest list is surprisingly small. We plan on having 150 people. It was definitely more difficult for Chris to narrow down the guest list because he has so many friends from his [minor-league] baseball days. We didn’t want to invite anyone we hadn’t talked to in two years. Plus, having less people helps with budgeting!

3. I’m taking notes from two Kates — Moss and Middleton. I was inspired by Kate Moss’s wedding, with its ethereal look, and Kate Middleton’s classic, timeless and iconic one.

4. We divided responsibilities. Chris is more realistic and logical, while I’m a dreamer. I’m good with the designing, and he’s better at budgeting.

I'm so glad she took notes from Kate Middleton! Awesome! I love calssic timeless iconic brides so much more than the cookie cutter bridal gowns!

If that magazine is out Jan 19th, is it going to include wedding pics I wonder? How long after the wedding will UsWeekly have wedding pics I wonder. Just trying to figure out the timing.

I was trying to figure it out but got confused laugh out loud

. It would make sense to include wedding pics, but if Us Weekly has exclusive rights can Des give some to The Knot? I don't think so. Maybe they will just include more 'inside' info about her wedding planning process. But even if they could use pics, the window is too tight I think.

i believe Us Weekly and People are on newsstands in DC and NYC on Wednesdays, right? I'd assume they'd do whatever they could to get them in the magazine that would be out 3-4 days later.

Ok thanks lurker and bleu. That's what I was trying to figure out. So lets say they get married on the 17th, US weekly comes out Wednesday, 21st, Wedding pics included, so the knot mag can't be posting wedding pics on the 19th, 1, to soon after the wedding, 2, they don't have the rights.

If they are getting married on the 10th, then UsWeekly publishes on 14th. Can the knot publish on the 19th including pics from UsWeekly since they would already be published?

Re the 10th scenario: I'd imagine it depends on what the agreement is with Us Weekly and if the knot is willing to pay a licensing fee to Us Weekly.

Yes GA, I think I'm leaning towards that. Even if they don't have pics, The Knot can't publish any details if Us weekly isn't out I'm assuming. Des can't even say much either laugh out loud

.

Also Des will be attending a 3-day Maggie Sottero trunk show in Florida on January 29th to meet with brides. If she were married on the 17-18th and went on a honeymoon for a week, that would leave just a few days of down time before work. no idea

I believe that was the exact wording "in just a short couple of weeks" I didn't catch exactly what he said before that, something about Chris and Des who are getting married .....I think....
