@Sprite - I'm not convinced that bachelorettes in any way, shape or form are good fodder for sociological study, especially as it relates to the use of Instagram. OMG can't they find women a bit more grounded than some of this "classification?" JMHO.

Although I find it sad that IG posts are taken as a manual on how we are suppose to look, act, how our relationships are suppose to be and so on.

Anyone can post on IG to make it appear everything is wonderful in the world when it's not. Andi and Josh come to mind. I think SM influences some people to a point of brainwash.

Sometimes SM is very helpful, no doubt about it, I've seen some remarkable instances, but it's the wacky ones that are disturbing to me. I don't read SM comments that often at all, but if I'm looking for something and I need to scroll through comments, it's quite mind boggling to read comments towards the contestants and their infatuation to become just like them.

@GuardianAngel I agree. They make everything appear perfect...even when we sleuthers know they are far from that. They end setting up unrealistic expectations for some of those who follow them. Unfortunately, many younger fans in particular, buy that this is all real....the show and post show stuff. They aren't mature enough to realise that that perfect Instagram picture took hours to set up. The lure of fame and glamour is just too powerful...hence why so many are still willing to put themselves through all kinds of garbage just to get on the show.

In a similar vein, I saw this posted today. It is in China, but no doubt it will find it's way to NA as well. The older I get, the more I think the world is a crazy place.

Because grounded women are busy with actual jobs and a life and don't post their lives all over social media. Many people don't use much SM because their employers discourage it or if they do, it is very private and not shared with everyone.

I saw this tonight and thought it was interesting. Now if only they could get it to sound an alarm or give them a shock every time I would be even more impressed.
