While I agree that in her public, bachelorette persona Andi is fully the fiancee, future wife, mother, etc., I think we are only seeing that part.  I think it's fine if she takes her time thinking about how all parts of her ( that soon to be Murrayed part and her professional part) get merged into a full life.  While she had a little bit of time to imagine it from the time she was named bachelorette until she started filming, she had no idea what opportunities would be presented afterward or where she might be living or any of that.  So I prefer to think of the things they share as their public lives- and I'm content to believe that there's a lot more to their lives than what they allow us to see.

We all respond to each other each day here in posts, but in reality, not everyone here knows what everyone does at home, for work, etc. I guess for me, I just get really confused when people that don't even like this couple make assumptions about what they do for living and what not. We don't know them personally. We don't know what they do all day. I think it's a real disservice to them, or really anyone in general, to assume that Andi has no aspirations to return to law, just wants to be a stay at home mom, etc. when we have zero idea. We see parts of them in social media. We don't see them in real life. I think it's nice that Josh returned to his job that he had before filming and I think it's nice that Andi is weighing her options. She's 27 years old. She's got some time to have things figured out.

I agree with all three of you. My daughter in law has an ivy league law degree. She married my son and very sadly he passed away three months after they were married from cancer. Going through that life changing event, she did not go back to law but works at a university. She is brilliant and lovely, but not less of a person for not going back to law. Andi's life events are very different but life changing too, it is her journey and good for her to take the path that suits her and now also suits Josh. I wish them nothing but blessings.

Aaaaah! See if this was from someone who is not Josh, I wouldn't like it. But with him and his cute smile it slides and its funny Andi being an animal on the field. Andi's sharp so I'm sure she has a funny response for the breeding part. (I'm glad Hy doesn't twitter follow Josh LOL)

Andi has been a strong, smart independent woman who had a successful career before Josh. I like that about her. At her interview at the movies, she said she was missing law and definitely wanted to get back to it. And I hope she does if it makes her happy. I don't think this is discussed as much because SM is focused on them as a couple and them marrying. Fans ask her about Josh and not her career.

She said she left the DA because of all the responsibilities with the bachelorette, travelling and gigs. And she didn't say this, but I think after the engagement with Josh it was probably hard for her to go back to work immediately, and think straight! you know? After all those I love you's with JoSh. I mean their relationship has been intense. This year has been a whirlwind for her and like she said in the interview she has yet to unpack. Like all of us when we fall in love its important to pull back a little and regain on our perspective on our lives, to make wise decisions as an individual and as a couple.

I wonder if she already moved in with Josh, probably because her lease was up in September....?

Right, I don't know if I find it cute/sad/funny or what that in a span of 9 months she's gone from being an independent career woman to describing herself mainly as her future husband's Mrs. and planning to be his baby breeding factory.

If it makes her happy, then I am glad she found it.  I don't think Andi loved being a lawyer.  She chose reality tv twice and even her interview with Jezebel, it didn't sound like she loved the hours of being an ADA.  Being a young lawyer isn't very fun, most of my friends who did it didn't have a ton of time to party or have fun.

In a recent interview, however, Andi did say that she missed being a lawyer and plans to return to the field, although she indicated it would likely not be in the D.A.'s office.

Good to know, I haven't followed closely. The DA's office is very demanding, understandable that a newly married woman and one possibly starting a family wouldn't want that .

BTW, while I may not necessarily be an Andi fan, I was not trying to post a negative opinion. I was actually responding to someone else's post on her changing what she wanted and that if it made her happy, then that is okay.

IMO with everything that Andi has done this year it would have been hard to focus on work now that the show is over and she is engaged. Taking time off to enjoy their engagement and focus on their relationship is a good thing if that is what she wanted. She may be doing more wedding planning that we do not know about. I am sure her and Josh will discuss what's the best plan for both of them for their future.

This past year Andi Dorfman has been on a non-stop search for a soul mate— first as a dark horse favorite on season 18 of The Bachelor, then as the single star of The Bachelorette this summer. The 27-year-old Georgia attorney and LSU graduate wrapped her season in July with a new fiancé and a flurry of media attention. Now, with US Weekly covers behind her and wedding plans in the works, Dorfman can finally relax.

Why become The Bachelorette?
I was very reluctant at first. I was ready to move past The Bachelor. But I found myself still single and still wanting to find love. I kept asking myself, 'Why not?' And I could never come up with a valid answer, so I went for it.

Is it hard to fall in love on camera?
It is not as hard to form relationships in front of the camera as it might seem. Sure, at first, it's awkward. But you start to know everyone who works behind the camera so well that I really forgot the cameras were there. I will say it can be incredibly awkward kissing and knowing there are cameras capturing every moment of it.

What has been the most unexpected outcome from the show?
Definitely my fiancé Josh and the deep love that I feel for him. I was hoping to find an amazing love, but I never knew if I really could.

What are the biggest lessons you've taken away from The Bachelorette?
I learned to not sweat the small stuff and to look at the bigger picture. I learned that kindness can go a long way, and the way you treat people is almost always how they will treat you. Also, when you know millions of people will be watching your every move, it's natural to guard yourself and to feel insecure and embarrassed. But I learned to just embrace it and laugh at myself.

So what's next?
It seems like I haven't taken a breath in about a year, so unpacking my suitcases is first on my to-do list. I am going to enjoy being engaged and spend some quality time with Josh. I am going to take a little break from law. I have a unique opportunity to do some really cool things in life right now and to follow my passion for fashion. And when the dust settles, I plan on going back to my law career. It took a lot of hard work to get my law degree, and it's something I am very proud of and not ready to give up.
