We lived in Georgia for many years and my recollection is that unless you're top 10% of your HS class UGA is actually difficult to get accepted into, it's a very good school. Otherwise curious as to why she chose LSU, maybe they offered her an academic scholarship.

I think it is cute that they will cheer for different teams. Not sure if UGA is playing LSU or not but the banter between them would be interesting to hear if they did.

UGA football does not play against LSU this year, according to its athletic website.
