Agree. Hopefully.
I wonder if Dr. Jamie has openings. Wasn't that Brad's therapist?

I mostly feel for the families who got dragged into this. While I certainly hope they support their kids, I also hope they don't try to fix anything. I'm particularly thinking of Andi who I always thought was a spoiled brat.
Someone here mentioned that even though Andi has no job, no apartment, etc., Hy would buy her one and make sure she landed on her feet. Not what I would personally recommend. Andi needs to learn to stand on her own feet and take responsibility for her actions. Josh seems more independent in this sense. Either way, it will be a tough road...the publicity will be rough for a while and serious self reflection even more so...if one is willing to do the work. I will be curious to see if she does.

Josh may have learned that he needs someone who will want to fit in with his family and not the other way around. That's what's risky about meeting someone in the Bach Bubble. In a normal relationship you get time to really get to know them before you throw them into the family situation.
Andi has a lot of things to work on but no sign that she would agree with that. I have this feeling that she'll have a lot of excuses and will lay the blame on others. Hopefully someone who loves her will set her straight but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree she will not want to take any blame at the beginning. I do believe, however there will come a point where she breaks. As strong as she comes across, I actually find her to be very fragile. I am saying this as a fan of hers. I, of course, have no idea what the biggest reason was for their separation, but I believe a large part would be her unwillingness to compromise. I think she will realize that eventually. Whether that means getting back together with Josh once this occurs, or being able to bring it to a new relationship, I think it is needed for her.

Agreed Justafan2. And I believe they both said that they have never had their hearts broken before - (which successful married couple hasn't gone through that?) so this is a good time for them to mature in their relationships knowing now what is is to have loved and lost it.

I agree. As much as I don't wish heartbreak on anyone, it teaches you so much about yourself. I hope they both grow and learn from it.

Also agree. The first time I comforted my teen age daughter through a painful break up, I told her every relationship, good and bad, is a learning experience, and that everything she learned from those painful experiences is how someday she will know with all of her heart and soul that the one she will marry is truly "the one." I told her that some day, as I stand in the back of the church with her, before she walks down the aisle, I will remind her of our conversations about how the painful experiences led her to this joyous moment. She liked it so much she posted in on FB, and we often refer to that conversation we'll have some day in the back of the church.

That was beautiful to read, I hope when I'm a mom one day I can do the same for my kids.KB_Mom wrote:Also agree. Josh had never been really in love before so he believed imo that what he found with Andi would last forever. He told her it's not puppy dog love that would last "several years," when in fact it barely lasted several months. Now he will know better before he speaks like that, I hope.
Through this Andi needs to really evaluate what her type is, why it doesn't work for her and what kind of man she needs to really make a long lasting happy relationship.
Definitely not a waste for either of them imo.
