I don't think the thing with Lesley is purely fun- I think it's promotional for what Lesley's doing and Catherine, by going, will help her out by attracting more attention to her venture. Friend helping a friend and having a ball all the while.

^She can help her out by plugging her blog, she doesn't need to go on Lesley's work trip with her. It just feels like Lesley is using Cat and her popularity for her own selfish gain. I'd just rather Cat stay home with her hubby.

^^ you're correct. It is to promote Lesley's blog. That, in my opinion, makes it not necessary. If her blog can't stand on its own without attaching Cat's name to it then she shouldnt be doing one.
